Question about CD Players

1 Answer

SONY CDP-C450Z 5 disc changer.

My 5 disc changer has stopped working. Draw opens & only thing that happens is the disc carousal spins, & spins. Door will not shut on its' own & it doesn't matter if I load 5 disc in, the player refuses to play. Sometimes the LCD says 6 disc, but it only holds 5. Is there a reset button? Any sugesstions would help.

Sony CDP-C910 will no longer play cds or eject changer cartridge

Mine did the same thing. My player was primarily used in the garage and the cold weather may have caused my player to do the same thing. I just fixed my player. I removed the top cover and looked at the CD in the play position. In the upper right corner from the CD, you will see a spindle motor with a belt on it. Gently spin the motor back and forth carefully with your finger. I rotated it a half-spin in either direction, careful not to dislodge the belt. When I turned the player back on, the mechanism operated as it normally would and began playing the disc. I was able to eject and reinsert the magazine without any issues, solving the problem. Hopefully that will work for you.

Sony cdp-c215 wont read disc removed cover disc doesn't spin

The pladder motor that spins the disc is open, or the laser pickup is defective, the whole laser assembly would need to be replaced, not cost effective to repair cheaper to buy.

Have had problems for a while not being able to open the drawer of my Sony CDP-C5F Compact Disc Player. It required my jiggling the cover a bit until it would open. Now it won't open at all. I realize this...

im probbaly guessing that the motor that drives the draw has given up and died what you could do is open it up and remove the motor from the draw but still have it plugged into the board turn on the cd changed and press the eject button and see if it spins without a load on it hopefully there is a model number on the motor it that you might be able to replace it with
