I have the RCA MM61110 it works fine after replaceing three picture tubes. Unless I use the high def, The outer part of the picture is fuzzy on all four sides. I had a tech there but could not figure it out. I think he just sucked. Is there a way to adjust the tubes. I know there is an option from the menu to adjust the picture but not the way it needs to be adjusted. Any info would help.

Re: Adjust picture tubes
If all 3 crt's were replaced it sounds like something was not reassembled properly. There is a chance that the mech. focus on the crt lens need to be adjusted, or the mirror is not in the right position or it is possible that the convergence is not properly aligned. If you can send me a digital picture to: email@example.com I can probably give you more info.

Make sure your not trying to watch a high def channel, you will get sound but no picture if tuned to a high def channel on a non high def input or cable box. Try a vcr or dvd player connected to the unit to varify the picture tube has not gone out.
First check whether all the cables from your dishnetwork are fine and connected firmly. If yes then you'll need to pull off the front of the tv, behind the speaker grill there would be a panel. Remove the panel and check for a black box hanging over there. It has 6 controls on it, 3 are marked as focus and 3 as screen. You'll need to adjust the screen. If you turn these too high you can damage a tube. so we are doing real small adjustments. Turn the color off on the tv and adjust the red, blue & green controls up till you get a fine picture. Also adjust the focus until you get a clear picture.
And, if it doesn't resolve your issue then it is an intermittant blue picture tube, a bad blue driver transistor on the CRT board, a bad connection on the blue crt board, or a problem in the RGB coming from the video jungle IC. A set this age, most likely will run you about 300 to 500 bucks to have this problem fixed, unless it is the picture tube.

your picture tube is wearing out . there is a way around it it will work for a while .you need to lower the drive for the green . on the board on the neck of the picture tube there are three adjustments marked red , blue, green on the front of the tv turn down the color all the way down . normally you would have a black in white picture but now you have a green and white find the screw adjustment marked green and carefully turn it down untill the picture is black in white and your fixed . adjust color back up .... dont do this repair unless you are confortable working around high voltages a wrong move inside a tv can kill you , this adjusment must be made with power on so you can see the picture as your going ... so this may not be for you . use your own judgement ........Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob .
Three guns Red Blue and Green in the picture tube of an old CRT set. If one of the guns goes out it effects that color. Sounds like one of the guns inside of the tube is going out, To costly to replace for such an old antilog set that will have to have a convertor box next month anyway.
High voltage Trippler is bad or shorted tube or need to replace FET ,startup Kit it has 16pin ic/ 4capacitors /resistors /everything you need to repair that circuit. So your tv is 15yrs old cost of replacing tubes 300.00 per tube.plus labor 190.00 and up ?
I took the back panel off and noticed that one of the cooling fans was not working..... apparently the computer tells the tv that it will not be able to cool. I cleaned things using air and basically followed the wires for the cooling fan and wiggled them... lol.. works fine now
