Replaced water filter and the red light is still showing after filling 10 to 12 glasses of water

Water Filter Status Light and Filter Reset
The filter reset control allows you to restart the water filter status
tracking feature each time you replace the water filter. See "Water
Filtration System."
After changing the water filter, reset the status light. Press the
OPTIONS button to enter Options mode, then press LOCK to
initiate the reset, then press MEASURED FILL to confirm that
you want to reset the status light. When the system is reset,
the "Order" and "Replace" icons will disappear from the
display screen.
These instructions can be found in the=> GZ25FSRXYY2 User Manual . As for the dispenser and ice dispenser problem this could be related to a loose connection in the door where wiring attaches to control panel and/or where door wires go from door to cabinet also a defective pressure switch where glass is pressed to get water or ice. Can you tell me when this additional problem began?

  Purge the system once the new filter is installed. Fill a large glass with water from the dispenser and empty the water into a sink. Continue filling and emptying the glass until the water runs without air burps and the water is clear.

  Locate the "Lock" and "Light " button on the dispenser. Older Maytag refrigerators have a "Lock" and "Water" button.

  Press the "Lock" and "Light button with your fingers and hold them in for four seconds.

You may need to have the water filter replaced. This sounds like it is starving for water as it refills.

.PLUG MACHINE IN & SWITCH ON AT MAINS
.TURN MACHINE ON (ON/OFF SWITCH ON SILER PANEL JUST UNDER FRONT RED PANEL- NEXT TO GROUP)
.RED NEON AND AMBER NEON LIGHTS WILL ILLUMINATE AND THE MACHINE WILL START TO FILL
.OPEN STEAM VALVE (TURN RIGHT HAND BLACK HANDLE ANTI CLOCKWISE)
.WHEN WATER LEVEL REACHES THE YELLOW LINE ON THE SIGHT GLASS THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF AND
THE MACHINE WILL CUT OUT
REFIL THE TANK AND THEN TURN THE ON/OFF SWITCH OFF AND WAIT 5 SECONDS TURN THE ON/OFF
SWITCH BACK ON THE MACHINE WILL CONTINUE TO FILL
.WHEN THE WATER LEVEL REACHES THE TOP RED LINE ON THE SIGHT GLASS THE RED LIGHT WILL
GO OUT THE AMBER LIGHT WILL REMAIN ON UNTIL THE WATER REACHES THE CORRECT LEVEL AND THEN
GO OUT
.THE MACHINE WILL NOW START TO HEAT THE WATER WAIT FOR STEAM TO COME OUT OF THE STEAM TUBE
(BETWEEN 5-10 MINS APPROX) AND CLOSE THE STEAM VALVE (TURN RIGHT HAND BLACK HANDLE CLOKWISE)
.WAIT FOR THE PRESSURE TO COME UP TO 1-2KG/CM3 (PRESSURE GAUGE ON FRONT OF MACHINE BETWEEN
THE TWO BLACK HANDLES)
.THE MACHINE IS NOE READY TO USE
.PUT EMPTY FILTER HOLDER INTO THE GROUP AND FLUSH WITH WATER BY TURNING ON RED SWITCH NEXT
TO PRESSURE GAUGE AND LETTING WATER RUN THROUGH THIS PROCESS WILL TAKE SOME TIME AND USE
APPROXIMATELY HALF PINT OF WATER THE GROUP AND FILTER HOLDER SHOULD BE HOT - CHECK BY
TOUCH IF THEY ARE NOT HOT LET WATER CONTINUE TO FLUSH THROUGH UNTIL THEY ARE AND THEN
TURN RED SWITCH OFF
.MAKE A TEST CUP OF COFFEE THIS FIRST CUP WILL PROBABLY BE COLD BUT AS YOU MAKE MORE CUPS
OF COFFEE THEY WILL GET HOTTER IF POSSIBLE LEAVE THE MACHINE TO STAND FOR APPROX 30 MINS
BEFORE MAKING COFFEE THIS WILL ENABLE IT TO WARM UP AND PRODUCE COFFEE AT THE CORRECT
TEMPRATURE.

read the box that the filter came in,it tells you on the box,some of them are different,try pushing in the lock and light buttons for like 5 seconds together,on older maytags press the lock and water buttons.you have to perge the filter,keep filling up a cup of water until all the air is out and the water runs steady,if you see it skip there's still air in the line,you might have to fill 6 to 8 glasses to clear out all the air out of the lines

If both the water in door and ice maker are experienceing slow water problems the common point is the water supply itself.

This can be caused by:
1. Water supply shut off valve is partially closed or blocked with debris.
a. TURN water supply OFF
b. Remove the water line from the rear of the refrigerator ABOVE the in line filter (if one is installed)
c. Place the removed line into a bucket.
d. Turn on water supply and check flow. It should fill an 8 Oz glass in about 8 seconds.
If it passes this test then the water supply is fine. If it FAILS this test either cflear the obstruction in the line or replace the water supply valve from the house connection.

Test 2 (Water supply is OK
Reconnect water supply to external in-line filter (If installed) or water valve assy connection.
Your unit has a Verticle filter that if it is clogged will cause slow water flow.
Test water thru the door for the same amount of water flow. It should fill an 8 Oz glass in 10 seconds or less.
If it does ot do this then the VERTICAL internal water filter is clogged. (5 months or 500 Gallon change interval)
REPLACEMENT filter is PN LT500P but there are several like / suitable aftermarket replacements for the LT500P number.

As for the ice maker freezing up. There is only one cause for this and that is the water valve assy itself is bypassing water when it is supposed to be closed. The only remedy for this is to replace the water valve. They are not repairable.

Either replace the water filter or replace the water valve ( located behind the refrig where the wall water line connects to ) or , install the water filter bypass piece which came with the refrig . ( This will tell you if the filter needs replaced ) .

do u have a water filter if u do take it out for a minute and bleed all the air out of the lines by trying to fill a glass now once the air is out see if this speeds up the process if it does just replace the filter and problem solved if no filter u may have a kinked line or a stopped up line try draining the water lines and see if this fixes it if not the solenoid in the back may not be getting all the way open u might have to replace it its in the back and is blue usually

The Classic XL-15 should have 2 individual indicator lights. The 'red' light is the ionizer indicator, and the 'green' light is the ozone level indicator. Both lights should be illuminated, if the unit is operating properly. The red light should be pulsing, and the green light should be dimly lit, and brightened as the output knob is turned up - indicating a higher ozone production. If the green light is not lit, you likely won't smell the ozone. The first thing you should try, is cleaning the filter and glass ozone plate. Unplug the unit and remove the rear air filter. Clean the filter with clean water and allow to COMPLETELY air dry. Removed the glass plate by depressing the lever behind the glass plate, and gently pulling it out. Clean the glass with a half water, half ammonia (or distilled white vinegar, if ammonia not available) and an old toothbrush to clean between the mesh. Dry plate with a hair dryer and re-place plate into unit. Replace dried air filter, making sure the little tab on the bottom is secured into the interlock. Power the unit on and you should see the indicator lights and smell the fresh ozone!

The water fill valve on the back of the fridge is probably bad.
