Error code 13 on my 5oo plus series washer, it will not coplete the load or unlock the door, im afraid the clothes are going to start smelling

Try restarting it, make sure the load isnt to heavy, if that does not help, call a local repair man.

If drain hose is connected to a standpipe check that it's inserted no more than 4". You may be getting a syphoning situation that is allowing gray water to contaminate clean clothes.

Door unlock error. The machine tried 6 times to unlock the door. Must be an item of clothing jamming the door. take the bottom panel off and reach up and grab the emergency ring, GENTLY release the door amigo. Use this GUIDE for repairs

open the bottom panel by unscrewing 3 screws. reach up towards the door lock and pull a level to manually unlock the door.

F28 means your washer is locked and not unlocking. To unlock your washer take the bottom access panel off by removing the 3 bottom screws.
Reach up near the latching assembly & Attached to the door latch is a little plastic pull lever. Pull down on this lever and open the door. Unplug your washer for 60 seconds and plug your washer back in. If the error re-occurs you need to replace your door lock.

take the kick plate off and put your and inside u going to feel a little round tab in the door lock , just pull that tab and the door unlocks

I too, had the same issue with the door not opening. My solution was to unplug the power cord and then plug it back in and press the green button's as if to start a cycle and while it starts putting water into the washer I put my knee and weight into the door lock area and held pressure from my knee and press the red stop button until the lights went out, and I took my knee off the door lock area and opened the door!!! No taking off the lower panel.

if that's a front load washer your only supposed to use an he detergent designed for front load machines others can build suds that when they dry can cause odors also its recommended that you leave the door cracked when the washer is not being used
