Can't setup my remote. Harmony One Logitech.

To set up the Harmony remote controls, you need to connect the remote to a computer with the Windows OS or Mac OSX using the USB cable that came with the remote. You also need to create an account using the Harmony Remote software - the account is at myharmony.com . It looks like the Windows software and website work with Internet Explorer with the Silverlight plug-in. (Newer Harmony remotes use an app that shouldn't be browser and plug-in specific.)

The manual and software for the Harmony One is available here: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/harmony-one-advanced-universal-remote/getting-started# . https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/download also has a link to download the Harmony Remote software for the older Harmony remotes.

If you are still having problems, first check if Operating system found the device when you plugged it in. (With Windows, go to the Device Manager and check if the driver was installed. Look under Human Interface Devices.) If Windows Update is set to automatically install hardware when it is plugged in, this should happen automatically. Check if an update is pending. If the remote wasn't recognized, try a new USB cable with the correct connection. You may also find this site, https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/harmony-isnt-being-detected-by-the-computer , helpful to diagnose the problem.

I hope this helps. I've assumed that the battery in the remote are fully charged. If the unit isn't charging, you may need to replace the battery or the remote. Amazon does list a replacement lithium ion battery for the Harmony One. There are a couple of choices depending on when the remote was manufactured.

Harmony 900 to control Bose Lifestyle problem.

Press the system button on the Lifestyle remote control. Move right to see a preview of the remote control. Press the down button to move into the submenus. Go down to IR Control. Select "on" System receives IR commands from another remote that has been taught to operate this system. Press exit and take a breath and try your Harmony remote. It should work. I had the same problem and this fixed it after hours of screwing around. Good Luck

Remote can't connect to Software on Vista

Try a different cable, any standard mini usb cable will work. When it asks to press a button on the remote unplug the remote and plug it back in and it should pick it up right away.

I have had similar quirks with harmony remotes be never had one I couldn't connect too.

Failing that harmony has an excellent tech support service, it could be a remote problem.

Cheers

Mac won't recognise canon drive

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to a Windows computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this camera photo recovery software
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

My harmony 1000 remote is not recognized by my mac computer

I had the same problem today on PC with the Harmony 1000. I noticed on the USB cable that mine came with it had a warning red icon (!). 1. install software then 2. plug in USB...

I didn't see this and I installed my software whilst the device was in the charging cradle with the USB cable plugged into my PC.

Before the software was installed I noticed the USB icon next to the Help on the remote screen, this dissappeared when the software finished installing the software and drivers.

I removed the remote from the cradle, pulled the battery out, unplugged the USB from the remote and computer, restarted my PC, powered on the remote, started the software on the PC and then plugged the USB into the remote and then the PC.. it was then recognized.

Can't connect to usb port

Hi all! I had the exact same problem - the remote recognized the USB connection but my computer (MacBook with Leopard) / Logitech software did not.  I took the advice of  bfuzcsvxvgk  and it worked like a charm.  I wasn't sure what the "Home" folder that he or she referred was, so instead I entered "Logitech" into the Spotlight finder and the Logitech folder came up.  There was only one file (usblancognac.cmd) in the folder and I deleted it. After that I reopened the Harmony Remote software and it opened! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!  Hope this helps if you are having problems!
