I accidentally left my ipod in my pants pockets when washing my clothes. Obviously my ipod did not survive this careless act.
I was going through my whites and colors. I thought i got all of them but unfortunately i skipped one and that one had my i month old i-pod nano video in it..My clothes washed normal but when i put it in the drier it started making noises so I went to check and I found my i-pod making all that noise and now I'm waiting for it to dry..to see if it will make a miracle and survive..

Yes there is something you can do. Put rice in a sealable container and place your ipod in the rice. try to cover the ipod completely. the rice is a good sponge for water and it is almost the only way you can fix a waterlogged ipod.
If you've been trying to turn it on, then it's unlikely to work again.
If anything like that happens again, "DON'T TURN IT ON". Take the item
apart carefully keeping the screws together and leave the parts spread
out in a warm dry place like an airing cupboard for about a week. Then
put it back together and cross your fingers.
Hi, You probably already have the answer to this, but if you send it to Apple, they may just give you a new iPod. If they even think that it got wet, though, they won't fix it. You will have to replace the battery. There are a number of places that will do that for you. I hopw that helps.
As a mom who did the exact same thing to her 14 year olds Ipod, I can totally empathize. However the only solution I came up with was to purchase a new Ipod. My daughter still has her original one due to sentimental value, it was engraved. It still has not ever worked again and this happened in March.
I think you fried it. put it under a lamp for a while (not too close to the lamp) to try and dry it out. if that doesnt work, something shorted out inside, and you can repair it or get a nice shiny new one
