the toner and drum needed to be replaced. After replacing issue went away!
I have the same problem.
This Problem has been added to the Share Your Expertise Page under "My Work Queue".

Hi. We've just had the same problem with our toner sensor error. However, replaced with a new toner and checked the blue handle, but problem still occurs. Can you please help?

yes i had the same problem on my oki 5600.

2 things to check

1. i changed the belt and the blue buttons on the belt was not locked properly causing the toner sensor error. The problem is now solved.

2. make sure when you replace the toner that the blue handle is locked properly.

Have you checked the transfer belt that the blue buttons are locked proply the could have moved when you put the new drum in.
the drum and the toner cartridge were placed into the machine together and the blue handle is locked.

the sensor error happen to me because i replaced the belt and i didn't lock the buttons correctly that solved my sensor error.

After replacing a bad drum and toner cartridge, I'm receiving a 543: K Toner Sensor Error. It won't go away, we can't print :)

So i know its not a starter cartridge, and i've 'utilized' OKI's site for all its worth. Was hoping someone knew a possible solution. Thanks!
