Yesterday I was playing around with sound recording software, and disabled the internal mic on my Toshiba Satellie A200. Now I can't re-enable it!!!!!!!!!!! ARG. It has completely disappeared from the microphones in the control panel. I can't find it anywhere to enable it again. Help!!!
TIA,
Angela

-   Hi. Have the same problem and cant find a solution.
Its a toshiba A200 with Vista, and I went to:
Control panel > Harware and Sound > Manage Audio Devices > Recording

It says: FrontMic, Realtek High Definition Audio, Not Plugged In.
Under properties, it says it is enabled and working fine.

I am confused on how to fix this. I hope someone can help, I would appreciate it immensely. I am also in Australia.-   tauiwi

Right-click the box which the microphone disappeared from and then click "Show Disabled devices".

I've just had this problem and fixed it.

Right click anywhere in the "Recording" tab of your sound options. (the place where you disabled this mic) and click "show disabled devices".

Then simply enable it. Hope this helps.
