Question about Ahead Software Nero Express 6.0 (NERO6OEM) for PC

DVD - Burning Problems

I have imported some video clips through Windows Media Player, added music, transitions etc. I have then saved the project. I then use Nero to burn the clip and include menus etc. It works on my dvd player, however the clip, which should be about 3 minutes long, is over in 2 seconds and it all runs through at mach 1 speed. The settings are PAL for Australia but not sure what else I am doing incorrectly. I have basic knowledge on this topic, so any answer has to be written in "baby" language for a novice to understand!!! Look forward to hearing from you..

I would try reducing the burn speed in the Nero software, if you try to burn the discs too fast the results can be random.

It is possible that the video file was created with a video codec that is not compatible with your DVD player. If you would like assistance to determine the file's codec or what your player supports let me know.

You may also want to try different media, I recommend Taiyo Yuden or Memorex as good brands.

Last word of advice... do not do ANYTHING else on your computer while it is burning the discs. Running other tasks could interrupt the burn process and cause errors.

How to burn a dvd from an acer laptop

The laptop should have come with CD/DVD burning software preloaded. Acer's specs page for your model says it comes with NTI Media Maker. The program will have help information available to guide you through, and you can find more help online. If you just want to write data files onto a DVD, the process typically is not much more than dragging files to a layout window and telling the program to burn the disc. This gives you a way to back up data, or to store movies in formats you can view on a computer (AVI, MPG, etc.).

On the other hand, if you're asking how to make a video DVD that will play in a regular DVD player like a commercial movie, maybe with features like menus or scene selection and such, the process for making that kind of DVD is more involved. You need some DVD authoring software. NTI may offer that capability, but I'll admit I have never looked.

In most cases, the software that comes preloaded on computers is a limited version of some commercial product. The computer manufacturers get paid to include the program, and the software company hopes you'll buy the full version when you discover the limitations. If you don't want to pay for software, there are free, more full-featured programs available for downloading.

For general CD and DVD burning, I use CDBurnerXP. To make video DVDs, I use a program called DVDStyler. Both are open-source, meaning they are 100% free to download and use, and they both offer a lot of features.

Is it possible to import MP4 files into Windows Movie Maker 6.0 without having to convert to a different format first? I have a Pinnacle Video Transfer device that creates MP4 files, that I want to...

Windows Media Player 11 recognizes and plays MPEG-4 just fine but WMM doesn't recognize them. I would like to import some MPEG-4 files into Movie Maker and work with them - is there a codecs or something that allows this?

I'm sure I can find a program to convert MP4 into a format MM will recognize but if possible I'd like to just skip the conversion step and work with MP4 directly in MM.

Thanks!====================================================
Movie Maker is not compatible with MP4 files...
best bet would be to convert them to .wmv.

The following freebie might be worth a try:

Format Factory
http://www.pcfreetime.com/

All to MP4 / 3GP / MPG / AVI / WMV / FLV / SWF.
All to MP3 / WMA / AMR / OGG / AAC / WAV.
All to JPG / BMP / PNG / TIF / ICO / GIF / TGA.

You need some software to convert the protected M4P music file to unprotected MP3, WAV etc first, then you can import the mp3 files into Windows Movie Maker as background music.
TuneClone is such a software to convert the M4P music file to MP3, WAV easily. You can click here to download TuneClone and convert them to MP3 files and then import the music files into Windows Movie Maker project.

TuneClone uses a virtual CD burning technology to simulate the burning and ripping process and can convert M4P files to MP3 without any CD-R disc and do this work quickly. TuneClone installs a virtual CD-RW, it helps you burn any unprotected or DRM protected M4P, M4a, WMA music files onto the virtual CD, rips tracks on the virtual CD, encodes tracks onto MP3, WAV or WMA music files. It can repeat this audio converting procedure until your whole music collection is done.
Since the virtual CD emulates your computer RAM and hard disk as erasable CD-RW drive (Virtual CD-RW), the converting speed is faster than any other m4p to mp3 conversion programs.

Windows Movie Maker is video creating/editing software that is included in recent versions of Microsoft Windows. It contains features such as effects, transitions, titles/credits, audio track, timeline narration, and Auto Movie. New effects and transitions can be made and existing ones can be modified using XML code.

I have a movie in windows media player. How do i burn to cd or dvd

Hi there..

Windows Media Player does not support burning movies to video DVD discs. It does support burning data DVD discs, which could contain music and video files. However, data DVDs are typically not compatible with most home DVD players. Check your DVD player documentation for details.
