Either the inlet down by the brush roll is clogged, or the hose is clogged. Check that out and if you still have a problem, then take it to a warranty repair shop, you have a 1 year warranty on this. Take your sales slip as proof of purchase.

How to replace thermal overload switch pacvac 700

Hey there! The thermal protector sensor can not be replaced. It protects the vacuums motor from overheating and burning out. If the vacuum is overheating, follow these quick trouble-shooting steps.

1. Remove the hose from the vacuum from both ends.
2. Use a broom stick to gently loosen and remove any clogs from the hose.
3. Remove the bottom plate and the brushes. Use a wooden spoon to gently break up and remove any clogs from the lower hose.
4. Clean the pleated filter inside the dirt cup by tapping it against the trash can until the dirt stops falling. This filter should be replaced at least once a year.
5. The pre-filter can be cleaned with a brush and then rinsed with water. Allow 24 hours to air dry outside the dirt cup.
6. Clean the secondary filter located behind the grill in the bottom of cleaner cavity. Remove the screw, and grill to access filter.
7. Rinse the filter in cold water with a mild detergent to clean. Allow 24 hours to air dry outside the vacuum.

Following these steps should stop the cleaner from overheating. Hope this helps!

Self propel unit broken

This is a farily common repair on this model. What ends up happening is that when someone picks up the vacuum cleaner2_bing.gif by the handle of the machine, which on this model also is the controller for the self-propelled transmission, it places too much strain on the actuator arm of the vacuum2_bing.gif cleaner.

You can do the best to try and not pick up the machine by the handle, but instead using the carrying handle on the back of the vacuum cleaner, this is distribute the weight much better, and even make the machine seem less heavy, and this will also prevent the actuator arm from breaking again in the future.

Now for fixing your vacuum, Please click the link below for an excellent tutorial on how to replace this part;

Belt will not stay on hoover windtunnel s3765

The Hoover Windtunnel™ Self-Propelled models have two belts, a flat belt and the V-Belt. This V-Belt is the one that drives the Brush Roller. After about three months, most belts stretch out causing them to slip. This means the brushroll turns slower or not at all and the self-propelled becomes increasingly harder to push. It is recommended that both belts should be changed at the same time.

Hoover wind tunnel u5755-900. smoke, smell. self-propel

Can you verify the model number? However, based on your posted description, it sounds like the flat belt is either broken or fell off. to access the belts turn it over and remove the bottom plate (4 screws). the Flat belt will connect to the motor shaft in the back and the large black pulley.

Suction

absolutely all the air in a vacuum would pass through the filter and if its clogged badly you could loose all your suction and if the belt is more than a year old then replace it even if it isnt broken ( they stretch out over time )

Hoover self-propelled

No suction on Windtunnel 6630-900. All belts work, brush turns, it just won't pick up anything.

Loss of suction in my Hoover Windtunnel bagless selfpropelled upright

Did you check the dirt inlet by the brush roll, filters ok, they should be replaced once a year. Belts can look fine, but if they are a few months old, I am sure they have stretched and the brush roll will not turn like it should under load. It is possible that the motor isn't running up to speed, thereby reducing suction.
