It may have a bad lamp--life is 2,000 hours so if it has not been replaced in a long time--some lamps will just before total failure do odd things.
A suggestion if you have not tried it---unplug set for a hour or so and plug it back to see if it will reset and resolve the issue.
Understand these sets have a shutdown feature that if something is wrong USUALLY on the front the red light will blink a specific code of up to ten blinks----
This is an error code and indicates general area of problem---if you do not have that---the set may be blinking as it attempts to fire the lamp up.
A clue that would point to the lamp is before it failed was it a bit darker the last few times it came on?

The blinking lights usually indicate that the lamp is faulty or burnt out. In this case a new lamp would be required. The lamp in your projector set should last around 3-4 years of typical use. If your lamp is at the end of it's life you may have noticed a gradual reduction in brightness over the last few months. In this case if it's still in warranty contact Samsung to arrange for a replacement lamp.
Occasionally the lamp may not come on even when it is not burnt out. You could try turning the power off for 60 seconds on the back of the set. The other possibility is that the lamp is loose. Refer to your manual on replacing the lamp and follow the instructions removing the lamp and then put it back into place. If neither of these work you will need to get a new lamp.
Hi, Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655. Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen. Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure. Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem. Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years? Thanks.
did you change your lamp? if so check thermal fuse.. i have same tv, it was great for about 18 months then went to ****.. light engine will go out soon, cost between 2,000 and 600 bucks.. i have major complaint with sony atm. i know several several ppl with sdame prblem, might get a class suit started against sony, they knew and did nothing. I am pretty upset with them since i have always been a sony fan until this.
While holding down the reset button on the remote Press the power button on the tv (The tv will turn itself off the back on) Now release the reset button
