Kenmore Elite HE4 Gas Dryer-triple beep

Dryer won't run, no matter what cycle you try to use.

I did try replacing the thermal fuse. Didn't work, it's the right fuse, brought it with me when replacing.

Any other ideas? or options?

Thanks!

Yes unfortunately the panel still works, so I might have to go the route of calling someone in....can't believe I said that. Ha! Ha!

The lead lights will turn on, but when you hold down the start button all i hear the a click sound. Where is the Thermal fuse located?

ALL Kenmore HE's use tiny surface mounted micro buttons under those large plastic buttons you press and over time some stick.. some even stay ON or just die completely.. sometimes it's just moisture inside the button others its just worn and bad.. I was lucky.. on mine I removed the control panel and used a hair-dryer to remove the moisture (basement) upon re-installing it the far right "beep when done, low, high, OFF" kept rotating LED's (lights) meaning it's stuck down or connected permanently.. This didnt affect it but it's annoying hearing the beeping.. upon next removal I intend to remove and replace all the buttons on the control unit.. IF i can find them at the electronics store as they are very TINY..

Did you have any lights at all on the panel? I just took off the User Interface as going through the troubleshooting guide I found underneath the control panel led me to that solution.

I'll hopefully, get a new one tomorrow and will let you know if this fixed my problem.

Sorry for the delay, hopefully, you were able to get it working. Mine was dead, finally got the part, installed it and it works! I think next time, I'm going with the old single start button and dial timer!!

Check the door switch. Push it by hand and you should hear it click. If no click is heard, replace the door switch with this part.
If the switch is OK, then the only other problem will be with the thermal fuse located on the rear of the machine. Here is a link to that part.

I have a Kenmore Elite HE4 dryer and it is not heating up. I changed the coil and cleaned out the lint. Is there a reset button?

If it isn't heating up but running otherwise, you probably blew the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is often blown by the high limit thermostat going bad, and thus may need to be replaced also.

No heat

its complicated and not able to explain on this page but in any case the unit will have to be completely disassembled and if the igntr bad the thermal fuse ok but more than likely just the thermal fuse....... again its just more work than most people can perform but the first thing is the top has to come off first
