all i am getting is myself too me and my friend got the same computer for christmas we are trying to figure out ho to connect ourselves yeah its nice to see me but i want to talk to her not myself that is wierd they dont have instructions

The Acer Crystal Eye webcam which comes with the Acer laptop doesn't work. My machine runs on windows vista. is it some incompatibility issue? Please let me know if u guys have resolved the problem.Thanks in advance

I've got a 5920-6914 with a Crystal Eye webcam. It displays images on the laptop screen, but will not broadcast over IM. The VCM program refuses to recognize it. I e-mailed the problem to Acer tech support. They said it was not a hardware problem. I called, they said it was an IM software problem. I deleted Windows Live Mssgr, reloaded it - same problem. I'm down to watching myself on the screen and about to give up.
