My daughter switched her new phone to "nam2", the phone powered down and we're unable to unlock it. The screen says incorrect unlock code.

My daughter did the same thing. So far we have been told to ship it the manufacture. and have them reprogram the phone. This well take 10 to 14 days. I am still looking to see what other option I have. This seems to be trouble with a lot of folks. Seems like there would be a easy fix.

i accidently switched on the nam2 thing like 30 minutes ago and its way too late to call costomer service. i cant seem to find any working codes online so my guess it that every phone is different i dont want to have to ship it to the manufacturer so i'll probably break it and get a new phone all together cuz the screen sucks too

Its the last four digits of ur fone number

JUST ENTER 587846!
that's all (:

Try one of these.

either the id code in the account ( DOB )
or the last four digits of the phone number.

if these 2 dont work then you might have to search online for an unlock code.

Switched to NAM2 and do not know the lock code.

Dial *22899 and press SEND to program the phone.
after it has finished downloading the programming information, the phone will reset.
The Lock code will now be set to the last 4 digits of your phone number.
when you have finished, be sure to switch back to NAM1 and dial *22899 again to re-program it.

Lock code for nam2 settings

Ok i sent an email to sumsung and i got this response

Thank you for your email. If you switched the NAM to NAM2 you will need to calculate the code. Listed below are the steps on how to do so:
1.Obtain the Hexadecimal ESN of the phone. The ESN should be printed on the sticker on the back of the phone, under the battery. The Hexadecimal ESN is the one with letters and numbers.
2.Open Windows calculator by going to Start -> Run -> type in "calc", then click OK
In the Calculator, click "View" then "Scientific".
3.Click on Hex and type in the Hex ESN
4.Click on Dec for the decimal conversion and use the last four digits for the code on the handset
5.Once the code is entered and the menu can be accessed, switch the NAM to NAM1
