My system is 2days old right out the box and so is my video game that I purchased. But, it will not play the video game, the only thing I am having luck with is the blu-ray disc. Do, the game need time to up-load? When reading the manual it said the game would automatically come on.

The blu-ray portion of your laser has probably gone out. Try playing and blu-ray and it probably won't work. The ONLY way to fix this is to swap the blu-ray laser out with a working one. If you do this yourself it's about $60 If you have a local game shop do it, expect about $100 and if Sony does it $150+
Check the back of your PS3 for a model number it's usually something like CECH10 post back what model you have and I'll let you know which laser you need ;)
Restoring your system (don't forget to backup all your important files !!)
else, contact the support centre for possible hardware issues checking . it can be, unfortunatelly, a problem with your bd reader, and you will need to buy a new one if the system is not covered by warranty =/
Then the laser or Blu-ray part of the laser in ur systemm is broken. There is a way to fix it but u have to open ur system and buy a new laser. but i do not think u should open ur system unless u have experince with gaming systems.
You're blu-ray drive has partially died. It's a three part laser (cd, dvd, blu-ray). The most important part of yours has died that's why you can still play dvd and PS2 games because they use the dvd laser and not the blu-ray.
Check out my common problem and easy repair guide here:
The ps3 laser mechanism has 3 separate diodes incorporated in one.
If the regular DVD and CD still works means that the blu ray diode is burnt.
You either send the console for repairs or purchase a replacement laser mechanism (KES-400AAA) and replace it yourself if the warranty is expired.
