Question about Kodak EasyShare CX7330 Digital Camera
I bought my Kodak Easy Share CX7330 digital camera. But the door of battery was broken by myself, and I cant cover the battery when I put the battery in. Where can I cange the battery door? I'm in Austin, Tx, USA. Can you tell me the nearest repire store in my living city?
I've got 16 of these cameras and had to replace the door on 3 of them. (I'm a teacher)
it is quite simple, but there are little tiny screws and some dexterity required!
to replace the battery door, you need a super small screwdriver (I've used both an eyeglass size and the screwdriver that came with my son's tech deck!) . you'll have to unscrew all of the small screws that hold on the back of the camera. remember which screws go to which hole - because some are longer than others. once the screws are out, you'll have to gently pry off the cover. carefully - you dont want to crack the camera case. you'll also want to be careful not to touch the sensor, which will be exposed with the case off.
NEXT you;ll have to pry the little spring out of the battery door to actually remove the old door. you'll probably have to use a screw driver to pull the spring on the new door back enough to fit back into the holes. that's really all there is to it. replace the cover and the screws.

I purchased a replacement door from U.S. Camera for a total of $16.20 (this includes shipping). I just need to know how to take the old cover off and put the new one on. My other option is to take it to a local camera shop and have them change the covers for me.

There are no user replaceable parts for the Kodak Easy Share CX7330.
Kodak Easyshare products are warrantied for one year from the date of purchase. It is possible that the door was defective to begin with and more easily broken because of that. If you are within the year of the warranty it might be worth it to send it in and see if it might happen to be covered under the warranty.
To find out where to send it go through the Troubleshooting and Repair option for your model on the Kodak webpage:
You will need your serial number and the date of purchase. Additionally, you will need to provide proof of purchase.
Hopefully this helps.
