Must be the fan then.??? Where is the fan cover?  Ice is forming on the roof of the refrigerator unit now -- which is new,  ( I have the unit set on cold.)    The freezer section floor is now quite cold, which it was not before.   But no ice or  ice cubes are forming, The vibrations, if I recall I felt strongest on the freezer floor.   Thansk so far

Inside freezer?   Inside is all of a piece --nothing to remove   There is a curious plug-like object protruding  on the lower back  freezer wall left side   It looks much like a raised socket and one sprocket (?) of this bject is showing red

forgot to say that the sound seems more like a motor than a fan to me.  There is a small one inch plastic circle which comes out -- but contains a circular piece of what appears to be plastic foam (like packaging)

They all have fans the freezer does all the cooling for the whole unit there is nothing in the bottom unit that cools the freezer fan blowes air from the freezer down to the bottom and draws air to the top if you dont hear the freezer fan running and there would be no doubt in your mind if it was then pull the fan cover and see why and let my know hold my rating till we are done please

Freezer on bottom is cold, refrigerator on top is warm. 2 days before failure there was a vibration noise intermittently between fridge and freezer that stoppped if freezer door was shut hard

This is a little strange to hear but something caused the vibration. Closing the doors hard or soft may make big changes in sound because of pressure change. I just want to know if the compressor is purring away without overheating. Anytime there is a restriction in ventilation the evaporator fan will struggle to push the air to the freezer and enough to refrigerator side to maintain safe temperatures. On the bottom even if the fan stopped the bottom would work because it is below and cold is heavier than warm. I will look over your parts breakdown to see what vent, dampers or fans that may cause this, work with me on this and I will help you solve this. Thanks Sea Breeze

The whistling is caused by the air circulating fan located just behind the light. It is easily accessed by removing the light cover and the two small hex screws above the light. To stop the whistling I simply turned the freezer off and pulled the fan cover out slightly to reveal the fan blades. I then pushed the blades down, toward the bottom of the until the blades stopped and i could feel the shaft slightly protruding from the top of the blades. Repositioning the blade has stopped the incessant whistling. Hope this helps!

Frig working, freezer stops working, then starts working again

The computer control circuit board was found to have a burned out circuit. The board is on the lower back side behind a panel, easy to replace. Just need the proper model number to order the board.
