Question about Uniden BC248CLT Base Scanner
I have a uniden bearcat scanner bc 144xl and don't know how to program it
Danval, I looked up a pic of your scanner and it is pretty straightforward. If it is the 16 channel I was looking at, here is the step by step programming.
1- Push manual button to go to the channel you want to start programming.
2- Enter the freq number in.
3- Push the E button to enter it in the memory.
4- To review what you programmed, push the Review button.
5- Use manual button to step to next channel and start over from #2
That should get you started with the scanning hobby.
The scanner has a Priority button that when activated will stop scanning and go immediatly to the priority channel if someone keys their mic.
If you need freq's (or more of) for your area, go here and click on your state and county and it'll give you a complete listing.
Hope this helps you out, let us know,, Mechanic
