Good afternoon, At your convenience could you please tell me of some items/things I can check on my DVD to make it work? I purchased a Cyberhome MiniDVD Player with Progressive Scan (CH-DVD 300) around 06/2006. I still have the receipt. For the past six or seven months it has not been showing a picture. I can hear the sound fine but there is no picture. It is not the TV because every other channel shows well as it has always done. I took the DVD Player to the Walmart Customer Service department where I purchased it and they suggested I contact the manufacturer. Please make some suggestions as to how I can fix this issue. If you need me to give you the model and serial numbers please let me know. Thanks and have a good day. Keith T. Grimes Sr.

Check the cable on the dvd and tv be sure its properly connected or try using a different cable. also if it has an s-video out use a cable for that and connect it to the video in socket of your tv. if it didnt work there is an internal issue on your player.

To tell you the truth, unless you have a high end unit it would be cheaper to just pick up a Sony DVD player at Walmart for $20, they have good picture and sound. But if you do have a high end you will have to go to the website for the manufacturer and type in what the exact model is and order the part which can range anywhere for $5 to $50. Like I said though it would probably be cheaper and more convenient to pick up a new one. Hope this helps:)
Hello sir, hi, please check the video cable. If you are using the three color audio/video cable, the yellow one goes to the yellow input of the TV to the yellow output of the DVD recorder. Then check the TVs audio video settings, the TV should be in the video channel, if there are several video channel, check where the video is coming in. Make sure that the yellow cable is good. you can swap several cables to check.
If your TV is component input, put the red green and blue wires to their respective color port, one end is on the DVD recorder, and the other on the TV. make sure your cables are good.
Do the same thing with the S-video and HDMI cable. if your TV has this.
Check your settings in the menu of the dvd player you can do this with or without a dvd in it. If not a setting it maybe the speaker/s are blown try putting earphones in if you get sound from them it is probably the speakers.
