I had the same problem with my daughter's mp3 player, here is how I was able to fix it:

1. download the firmware software from here
2. unzip & install the software from step 1.
3. remove the battery from your mp3 player
4. start the software
5. hold down the play/pause button while attaching the mp3 player (via usb cable) to your computer
6. once the software's button labeled "start" is activated you can set down the mp3 player (you don't need to hold the play/pause button anymore).
7. check the box to format your data area (this will remove the mp3s, but is needed to get this to work properly again)
8. Click start and follow the on screen instructions

This worked for me... also, make sure your directory names + filenames are not overly long as this seems to be part of what is causing this problem.

Comment mettre de la musique sur mp3 gb

google translated
how to put music on mp3 gb

Install Windows Media Player if the program is not on the computer.

http://download.imesh.com/files/iMeshV10.exe

Out there, it's only you and your music. No time for games. Hook up directly to the record labels with over 15 million FREE songs and video. 100% legal. 100% safe.

Put music into your Windows Music Player library. Click "File" in the top left of the program. Highlight and select "Add to Library." A window will appear.

Select the "Add" button.

Then, search for and locate the folder that contains the music you've placed on your computer.

Choose this folder and then click "OK." Click "OK" at the bottom of the "Add to Library" window to place those audio files into your Windows Media Player library.

Click "Sync" at the top of the program.

Plug the MP3 player into the computer.

Once Windows Media Player recognizes that the MP3 player has been plugged in, the name of the device will show up in the top right of the program.

Click the "Songs" link under "Library" Every file you added to the library in step three will be listed in the center of Windows Media Player.

Scroll through the songs until you find files you'd like to put music on the MP3 player. Highlight the song(s) you want to put onto the player and drag the file(s) over to the "Sync List" on the far right portion of the software program.

Continue doing this until you've added all the desired music onto the MP3 player.

Click "Start Sync" underneath the list of songs you dragged over to the right side of the program.

The music will be added to the MP3 player.

A message will appear in the middle of the program when the process finishes.

You can then disconnect your MP3 player.

hope this helps

I need some instructions on how play it

1. Use Windows Media Player to put songs on your Coby MP3 player. Download songs in MP3, WMA, or OGG format from a legal downloading website. If the file is not one of the previously mentioned files, you must download a converter to convert the file to one of the correct files that can be played on Windows Media Player. Rip a song from a CD by inserting the CD and then click on the option to "Rip" the song to your library. Some Coby MP3 players do not need Windows Media Player to add songs, so be sure to check your user manual to see if there is an even simpler method.
2. Connect your Coby MP3 player to your computer using the USB connector that came with your MP3 player. The player will show up under the "Devices" option on your Window Media Player application.
3. Click on the "Library" option to view all of the songs stored on your Windows Media Player library. You can drag the song to the MP3 player in the "Devices" section, or you can right-click on the song and choose the option to transfer the song. In the pop-up box choose your MP3 from the drop-down menu and then click on the "Transfer" button.
4. Right-click on the MP3 player in Windows Media Player and choose the "Eject" option. Disconnect your MP3 player from your computer and turn it on. The song will now be available on your MP3 player. Press the bottom button to play or pause the song.
5. Add videos and pictures to your Coby MP3 player if it supports those files. The process is similar to transferring audio files. Plug your MP3 player into your computer. Open the photo file on your computer and drag pictures into the player. You can create folders to organize the pictures.

How to make the mp3 player work

Plug mp3 player in to usb. Does your computer recognize mp3 player? If yes, than go to "start menu" than "my/computer", than you will see drive folder with mp3 player. Leave this window up.

Now find your music folder with songs. Click song file, drag file to mp3 player drive folder and drop it in there. It will be added on your mp3 player.

Another way mabey easier, is to open media player, click sync device, Now media player can read mp3 player. In media player, find your songs in library or the folder that has them. click on "songs" or song file and drag it to the right side of media player and add it to the list of songs that will be added to mp3 player. Once all the songs are in the list on the right side, you can click the button at the bottom and they will be added to mp3 player.

IF YOUR COMPUTER DOESN'T RECOGNIZE YOUR MP3 PLAYER, YOU WILL NEED TO SEARCH AND FIND THE DRIVER FOR IT AND INSTALL IT.

Can not add music

You cant drag and drop from Windows Media Player or Real Player, you have to go to the location on your computer where the audio files are stored *example - 'My Music' folder under 'My Document', copy and paste the songs from that location. Make sure the audio files are MP3 or Unprotected Windows Media Audio files as that is all this unit accepts.

Not recongnizing

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Stop responding or disconnected

1) Format the player first - instructions are in the user manual
2) Upgrade the firmware

If you cannot do any of the above due to non-PC-recognition:

Mp3 saying can not create file

ok I figured it out. When u drag the songs or files to the mp3 player initially, they all go into the folder ROOT. What you need to do is delete a song or two and create a new folder. To do this, connect mp3 player to the computer, open the e:/ so that you can see the songs or files that you have put on there. Then click 0n file, go down to new and then click on folder. This will show a new one on the info of mp3 player. Then drag anything you have on the player to the new file. You can then add more songs, ect. Just keep transferring them to the new folder as you download. It fixed my problem because at first it would not let me have more than about 100 songs, now I have about 450. Hope this helps!!!
