I believe I have a worm in my lap top. I got this by getting BUZZD on Yahoo Messenger and in an instance, contorlled my mouse and the Save As prompt popped up. Then my screen frozed but I regain control of my mouse. So then I tried to bring up my task manager, and it was disabled. I panick and shut down manually.
I reboot and check the functionalites of my computer again. The task manager only pops up in a quick second, so is the system32 folder, my mozilla browser is inacessible, when I try to download AVG anti-virus software - a disruption occurs on installation.
Also, upon shut down, the ccApp comes up prompting to 'end task now'.

First please uninstall the yahoo and install the latest version of yahoo messenger from net. Next please follow the step by step troubleshooting if you are still facing the issue:
Step 1:Reduce echoes by using a headset instead of speakers and a microphone. Place the microphone farther away from the speakers, if possible. Adjust the volume of the speakers and the microphone.
Step 2:Verify your Internet connection speed if your friend's voice sounds choppy. The computer modem speed must be 56K or higher in order to send voices or sounds.
Step 3:Go to "Actions" and "Call Setup" in Yahoo! Messenger if you can't hear, or your friend can't hear you. Test the sound by following the instructions that proceed call setup.
Step 4:Click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen if you want to test the sound manually. Uncheck "Mute," if necessary, and make sure sound levels are above 50 percent.
Step 5:Pick "Preferences" in Yahoo! Messenger if you have trouble with connecting to the voice server. Choose "Connection," then select "No Proxies." Log in to Messenger again to check the voice server.
Tips & Warnings
Follow your computer system's instructions for checking or modifying the server's TCP ports. Ports numbered 5050, 443 or 80 must be open for the voice features to work.
Install the audio codec software that comes with Windows. PC calls and voice chat require that the software is enabled on your computer.
Gphone.exe is worm which spreads via instant messengers. It usually affects Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk applications. Gphone.exe send a message and invites victims to visit a website. If clicked upon, the link actually delivers a copy of Gphone.exe infection.
Most likely you have a security program that detected and removed the threat but windows is still trying to load the file on startup.
Go to Start > Run> type "msconfig" and press enter. click the startup tab and uncheck the box that says "gphone.exe". (it may have a long file or folder path in front like c:\windows\system32).
I believe this problem is caused by a proxy error. Does Internet Explorer connect to the Internet OK?
Do you or your network provider use a proxy? Or a local proxy program such as Privoxy? If no, make sure that Yahoo is set to connect "Firewall with no proxies". If yes, set Yahoo Messenger to use HTTP proxies.
Do you have the latest version of yahoo? if u dont, then you must go for an upgrade before doing that go to control panel>add/remove programs> and from there remove that version of yahoo and download the latest version i.e. yahoo messenger 9.This will solve your problem..
