Lg crt 29 inch tv wont start

The frame amplifier, like the line amplifier, will not work if there is no output from the oscillators for them to amplify.

Early 405 line sets didn't have a frame oscillator as they used the sine wave from the AC mains but I believe the later sets needed a frame oscillator and a sync signal from the rf demodulator to prevent instability.

Transistors rarely fail by themselves and it is often external factors that cause them to overheat and fail and an essential part of the repair process is discovering what factors caused the initial problem. Modern circuits use a lot of multi-transistor dc coupled stages and it is often the bias of an earlier stage that is the culprit.

The frame output transformer is usually very robust and much less likely to fail than a line output transformer. I suggest you ensure the correct operation of the oscillators before going any further.

Bright lines in the center of the screen the height is insufficient.replacing Vertical ic La7830,and 3 or 4 condenser no good.Need schematic diagram try to search for the jungle output.tnx more power

This is the vertical deflection IC of a CRT color TV. If you think it is fried then replace it yourself. For a datasheet of this part check the following link:

If the problem is the jungle output IC cxa2159s could be a problem and not start the power supply. This can cause an error code to know for sure.

No picture

No picture can mean different things to different people. To a technician it often means no raster. Since we have sound it most likely means we have no EHT supply to the tube and our attention will be drawn to a problem in the line output stage. But television receivers are devious litle devils and often hide the true nature of the problem. A fault in the frame output stage often results in a blank screen. Shurely not you'd get a bright horizontal line across the screen I hear you say (my good hearing is a result of listening to peoples service problems for the last fifty years) well no since
in most sets the beam limiting will take effect, blanking the raster to prevent image burn on the screen. If you increase the A1 voltage on the flyback transformer, it's right next to the focus adjustment you will see the horizontal line become visible. Turn the A1 back so the line disappears. Check LT supply to frame stage for open circuit safety resistor, replace frame output ic and check all electrolytic capacitors around the IC.
Give yourself a pat on back for not being fooled by the little devil and explain to your television that your more than a match fot it.

Here are some possible locations where to look to :
( Since I have no model for your TV or additional details which you have

a) switching IC ( these IC switches the TV to Audio Video In)

b) muting circuits ( there could be one )

c) Check the audio out coming from the Jungle IC (also unknown)

d) check the supply lines of the audio IC (could be +12V, typical)

e) Check the headphones out (if available)

If there is an audio Out, connect an external amp to test.

If audio is present , check again for solder joints to main amp.

Use these as a guide in troubleshooting :

Computer Speakers

Your input is the Jungle IC, search on line for datasheet about it.

same with your Switching IC and Audio IC.

On some audio IC, volume control is included on it.

Let us know what you find or needs further assistance.

What is the frame output ic

Frame output IC means nothing, but the VERTICAL OUTPUT IC. Every TV will have it, which will scan picture vertically at 50 or 60 Hz. [1 HZ means one frame per second. Normally TVs will have 50Hz, 60Hz and 100Hz vertical frequency]. As vertical frequency rat increases, the picture fliker wil decrease. High level high-cost TVs will have 100Hz or even more frequency will be used for vetical scanning.
In the case of computer monitors, the vertical frequency will vary from 60Hz to 120hz. You can see its picture stability, at this high frequency.
The IC [Integrated Circuit Chip], which generates the vertical frequency and outputs it called the vertical output [frame output] IC. OK

Wish you a Proseperous and Happy 2012.

Red light flashes six times

6 blink's means H stop or Horizontal Drive failure. Check the Jungle and its soldering connection terminals for possible bad soldering or loose connection. In some cases jungle ic found defective.also check your horizontal drive transformer windings and connection that is connected at the base of horizontal output transistor. Open winding or loose connection would result to absence of horizontal drive at the base of horizontal output transistor..

My televison screen has a bright lin going thru the center of my screen and can still hear voices as i change the channels

You have a fault with the frame scanning, this will be caused by either the frame IC chip at fault or a supply feed resistor for this chip will be open circuited. You would will need a multi-meter to check what voltages are on the pins of the frame chip, if the voltage supply is present then replace the frame IC.

Doesn't always turn on stand by light is red and blinks 7 times thank you angie (

Flashing 7 times is a fault code usually suggesting a fault within the frame stage (frame collapse). This is sometimes just a poor soldered connection around the frame IC so would therefore just need re-soldering. If not most likely the frame IC would need to be replaced.

Sony trinitron 6 red lights

Every part has its unique reference number on schematics and PCB of TV installed.

C515 means Capacitor # 515 and IC206 means Integrated Circuit # 206 mounted on PCB and shown in related schematics.

Jungle IC is technical term used in Sony and Panasonic refers to sync, oscillators, drive stages for horizontal and vertical deflection stages in a TV.

Need further info, let me know.
