Hi
I found to solve this problem was to buy a Optical digital audio lead. SPDIF TOSLink cable to connnect between surround sound system and tv. The scart lead is also connected for the dvd surround sound.
Solved my problem, I now have 5.1 surround sound on tv channels too.

Many HT systems are designed to play back sound from the discs, and send video to the TV, not to receive an audio input from the TV and play it back. Without more detail, all I can suggest is that you refer to the manual for the HT system and see what it says in this respect

I have a new samsung 40" led tv and i have

The specs say that it has an optical audio in on your home theater system. So the easiest way to hook up is to connect the optical audio out of your tv to the optical audio in of your home theater system and walla! What ever play on the tv will play on the home-theater system. You are looking for a Toslink optical audio cable

Just purchased the Samsung UE32C6000 and have found that when I connect my external amplifier and speakers the speakers on the TV and the ext speakers are not in sync. If I mute the TV then the sound is...

This happens when there is a delay from your A/V device to your television. Instead of outputting the sound from the TV, try taking the audio cables from your A/V device and instead of running them to the TV, run them you your audio amplifier. This should solve your problem.

Connecting new LED TV and home theater to multiple components

the easiest way to get signal to your HT-Z320 is to run the audio cables from your cable or sat box to the input on your theater system...for the dvd either run HDMI to the LED TV or component (whatever it supports) the Wii system can be plugged into any AV -IN on the LED tv (if you want to use the Wii on the theater system you will need to extend your RED AND WHITE audio signal cables to the input on your theater system.

Hope this helps.

Connecting HT/Cable box to TV?

Get a fiber optic (Toslink Optical) cable to plug into the TV's optical OUT between the red/white RCA audio and the spot where you plug in your cable TV, to the Optical IN on your HT-DS610. This way all audio coming in to your TV from any source goes directly to your hi-fi in all it's splendor.

Have fun!
