I'm not familiar with the power supply but I'm gueseing 380 means watts and if thart is the case thean you need at least 400 watts for a small system find out by the metal tag that was on the last one and match it up or go biggerr never smaller or check out what a geek recommends when you tell him you need one for that computer and he can look up the rcommendations for that particular computer

I suspect something was not plugged in correctly. Double check all the IDE cables and power cords, make sure that the slave drive and master drive are set correctly. This is determined by a set of jumpers on the end of the drives. The one set to master should be at the end of the IDE cable.

The other possibilities are that the power supply does not supply enough power for the system (which I doubt unless you have done some serious upgrading to the Video card and/or processor), or else there was some damage done to something on the motherboard via static shock during the PSU switch.

Dvd player goes through the motions then says no disc why

hope you're using a good dvd... but if this is happening more often... just bring it back to the store or to the authorized service center if its still under warranty.... if not, try this simple steps...(1) try to insert a optical lens cleaner cd if available.... (sometimes a dirty optical lens is the cause of the problem...). once you cleaned the optical lens try to insert a good dvd... check if the problem is gone... if not (2) unplug the unit from the power supply socket. (3) remove the protective cover.. (4) plug the unit again to the power supply socket again. but please be careful not to touch the electrical circuit of the unit...(5) insert a good dvd... check if the dvd is spinning normally?... if not or too slow maybe the problem is the motor... (6) check if the optical lens is flashing a red light... if not, check the ribbon wire. check if its not broken... sometimes a broken ribbon wire may cause the problem. (7) if the the optical lens is flashing and the cd or dvd is spinning too fast than the normal speed, and the optical lens is moving back and port, and you hear a noisy sound like skipping. then the problem is the ptical lens... ty

Antec SL400 power not not turn on.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly
a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer hope this helps

Where can I find power supply for HP model ATX300-12ZBD

There are lots of ATX power supplies on the market. You do not need to use a HP 300 watt power supply. Just purchase one that suit your requirements - 300 watt or more. These power supplies have standard mounting holes.

I agree with you about the power supply being faulty. Unfortunately FixYa is not affiliated with Antec nor sells or service any computer components.
You need to contact the supplier who sold you the power supply or contact Antec.

Gateway PC into Antec enclosure?

Hi:
You should be able to transfer your motherboard to the new case, but some things to check before you do:
How do the power switches and front audio/USB connections work for the old gateway? Are they standard or vendor specific? Are the optical drives in the gateway standard, or do they have special fronts on them? I have done what you are wanting to do several times, and often you need to replace OEM optical drives, and sometimes the motherboard headers don't match up with a builder case, so you do the best you can.

Plugged computer back in after move and won't start. green light in mb on.

Actually, there is nothing you can do with the hard drive. If its shorting out the power supply when its pugged in then it is defective. However, most hard drives carry a 3 year warranty from the manufacture. If the drive is younger then 3 years old, I would call the manufacture and get it repaired or replace. Hope this helps . . .

Possible power supply problem

Open your computer case and disconnect/remove any hard drives, cd-rom/dvd drives, take out any extra cards installed (except video card unless you have onboard then take out the video card too) and all but one stick of ram. Turn the computer on
- if it turns on, plug in each item back one at a time turning back on and off each time ( power trip will cause the pc to not turn on)
- if you smell anything weird from the PSU unit DO NOT try anything further, replace the unit.
- if you have overclocked your computer, use the jumper on the board and reset your bios
In the event you need to replace your PSU unit if Antec is an option, go with that. They are very stable.
