PRINTING PROBLEM WITH CANON IP1880

MY CANON IP1880 PRINTER SHOWINING PAPER JAMMED INDICATION AND THE PAPER COMES OUT FROM THE TRAY WITHOUT PRINTING WHEN THE PRINT COMMAND IS GIVEN EVEN IF THE PAPER IS NOT JAMMED.WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM.

- i hv a problem with my printer. i never use refill b4.. since i'm a college student,..i do lots of printing.. i try refill for the first time.. at first it was ok..then, on my 4th printing,.. it come out the warning that the ink is empty again... i refill again,.. mayb abit too much...then,..my printer not working anymore...alway comeout "ink empty"..if i pull out the ink,..it come out "unreconize" warning... why???....goshhh!...some1 plz help me.. - cathrinefran

Shut the printer off. Than unplug it's power. Than unplug the USB/data cable. Wait about ten minutes. Allowing printer to reset it's self. Go to pg. 37 of your manual & follow instrctions for cleaning. Connect the power cable, the usb/data cable & turn on the printer. Test printer for error paper jam (light/display message). Canon's web site for drivers, updates, software & guides. PIXMA IP1880 is the iP1800 series.
When web sites loades you must choose your operating system from the drop-down menue.

Problem not corrected? Uninstall printer software. Re-start PC. Re-install software. Re-start PC & re-test.
Hopefully you will not need to uninstall & reinstall.
