Question about Toshiba 1370 Black and White Copier
How do I replace or fix a "bulb" that is not exposing the paper to copied?
Dont know the model, but in most cases-take off the platen glass, usually fairly obvious, the lamp is usually held in by a spring clip pushing on to each end.It is usually helpful to loosen the screws holding these clips to allow you to pull them away.Try to avoid bending the clip as it won't make good contact.Note DO NOT handle the lamp with bare hands..it may cause it to fracture when it gets hot (grease from your handprint) Handling the lamp is easier by folding an A4 sheet of paper into a strip, folding it around the lamp, fixing the lamp in then carefully withdrawing the paper. I suppose it is not necessary to tell you to unplug the machine first-power can be on the lamp even when switched off and it can bite you!
