Ask in the forums in moneysavingexpert.co. There are a few techies there who will give you the details. You will need to tell them your make model and IMEI number. They will tell you if it cannot be unlocked this way-they do not charge-I had my nokias unlocked via them!

First i need u to restore the settings of the phone.

check the following:

Menu>Settings>Restore Settings

The Default Security Code is 12345

if thas is not helping u:

this problem Occurs when the PIF Chip its a amplificator Chip that amplifies the signal when the antenna catch it ..

u need to replace that part. (take it to a trusted* phone repair man cuz its not an eszay task at all)

i reapeat u shud perform the pervious in case if the ressiting process not help.

take the phone back to the carrier and get a new one...sounds like a manufacturer fault on the mainboard

how far is the tower of your service provider from your place. Is the problem only existing with 2630 or all other phones?
