If you are installing a new mother board you will find that the cables are unique in each location. Even when the plugs look identical you will find a pin missing on the board and the corresponding one on the plug blocked,
The master drive connecst into SATA 0 Second drive SATA 1 If you mix them rthe OS will still find it.
The PCChips support page for your board is here, where you can download the full manual as well as drivers or other information you may need. This picture shows the front panel audio header location (AUDIO1):
And here is the pin information:
I believe the header complies with standard layout, so the plug on the cable to the front panel audio connectors on your new case may fit as-is. Or on many cases the wires have individual connectors on the ends to push over the pins. If yours is like this, you can put them on the correct pins by following the table. The wires are marked with their functions.
the power switch connector goes vertically where it says pw on the pins at the bottom right of the board. there is a diagram in the user manual on page 23. you can download the manual fro their website.
Most of the new boards will automatically detect the cpu speed. If possible set the bios to auto detect. Otherwise go to Soyo website and check the manual
Hello Nairy,
Install infrared module onto IrDA connector, and enable function from the BIOS setup. Make sure you have the correct orientation when you plug into the motherboard.
Location:
Towards rear of motherboard, next to first PCI slot, on AGP side. The number one pin is closest to rear of board.
Pin Configuration:
1. +5V
2. NC
3. IRRX
4. GND
5. IRTX
6. NC
Please let us know how this works for you, and if we can help you in any other way.
Best regards,
nightdiver
