My wi remote cursor only works when i am right in front of the TV

Your on the right track buddy.Now on your tv find the input button and push it until you see the wi come up on the screen.Note if that doesnt work plug the cables you plugged in front of tv to say video 1 in back of tv then press the input until you get to video 1 and playtime

OKAY TRY THIS..
DO STEPS 1-3 AGAIN AND ONCE IT TURNS OFF KEEP CLICKING THE CURSOR UP A COUPLE TIMES.
THEN START CLICKING THE CURSOR DOWN SLOWLY TELL THE TV TURNS BACK ON AND ONCE IT CLICKS BACK ON HIT THE TV BUTTON ON THE TOP OF THE REMOTE ..
IF THE LIGHT BLINKS TWO OR THREE TIMES MORE THEN LIKELY YOU'VE PROGRAMED IT =)
AND NOW KICK BACK RELAX AND ENJOY A COLD BEER FOR THE BOTH OF US =)

Hello,

Turn your TV on by pushing either the power button on the front of the TV or the power button on the remote control, which is located in the upper right corner of the remote.

Step 2
Press and hold the "up arrow" button on the remote control. The up arrow button is located in the middle of the remote, to the left of the "Input" button and below the "Picture" button.

Step 3
Press the power button on the TV while still holding down the up arrow button. The TV will turn off and then turn itself back on.

Step 4
Release the up arrow button. Once the TV turns itself back on, it will restore your TV to its factory settings.

KIndly check antenna/cable connections. Are they properly secured to the TV’s ANT75ω plug? If they are then :
• Check the TUNER MODE control for the correct tuner setting.
• Try running the Auto Program feature to find all available channels.
• Press the AV button on the remote to make sure the correct signal source is selected.
• If using an accessory device, be sure that it is functioning properly.
• If in PC Mode, a video signal MUST BE present or the TV will turn off.

If this does not work then reset to the original factory settings by performing the following steps:

1. Press the MENU button on the remote control to see the onscreen menu.
2. Press the CURSOR DOWN button to highlight the INSTALL menu, then press CURSOR RIGHT to enter.
3. Press the CURSOR DOWN button repeatedly to highlight the FACTORY RESET control, then press CURSOR RIGHT to enter.
4. Press CURSOR DOWN to select “YES” to reset the original factory settings.
5. Press the MENU button repeatedly to clear the menu from the screen.

1 - Hold the clear tv buttom until all 4 light flash red
2- Press the red tv buttom
3- Press the amount of time needed on the up cursor ( around select buttom) until your tv shut down
4-When the tv goes off press the search buttom ( at the end on the right side )
5-Press record

Finish :)

Then u can use the red tv buttom to control ur tv and u can control the volume on satelitte mode without going back to tv mode , if u press too much time while searching the code and the tv wont light back , do the same thing but instead pressing the up cursor press the down one to go back on the code it will be faster .

Could be as simple as a software upgrade if the picture looks okay after it come on... What software version are you currently running?
SOFTWARE VERSION CHECK Step (1) Turn the TV ON. Step (2) Using the TV Remote, Select Antenna C. Step (3) Press the MENU button on the Remote. Step (4) Menu will appear
