Hi mukhs,

Clear the CMOS in case of an emergency. Although the BIOS usually runs without errors, it can become corrupt in rare instances. If you're unable to enter your BIOS, or if you set a system password in the BIOS but forgot it, you might be able to fix the problem by clearing the CMOS memory.

On some motherboards, this requires you to turn off and unplug your PC, disconnect the CMOS battery for a few hours, replace the battery, and turn on your PC again.

Other motherboards have a CMOS clear jumper pin that you must move to a temporary position and then return it to its original position. Check your motherboard's manual to see which process you'll need to follow.

Note: If a clear jumper pin isn't available and temporarily removing the battery doesn't work, check the motherboard manufacturer's Web site for instructions about resetting the BIOS.

Hope it help's & give you better idea.

I hope i hear more from you..

Enjoy!

tnx

First you have to reset your bios password relax , you can do it. It just take time. There are two ways to approach forcing the Bios/CMOS to be reset to its default values: Option #1: Mechanically, by removing all power to the Bios/CMOS thereby forcing it to reset itself to its stored defaults, which include no password or the default password employed by the Bios manufacturer, and Option #2: Using a program to either locate and identify the password and reveal it to you or erasing the password entirely. These are referred to as password by-pass utilities or cracks. Let's look at Option #1 first, and then move on to Option #2 if necessary. Most motherboards manufactured over the last decade or more use a battery to sustain the dynamic Bios/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. These dynamic settings are those manually set by either the computers manufacturer or you, the user. There are two ways to erase these dynamic settings, by either resetting a jumper on the motherboard itself (referred to as a "clear CMOS" jumper), or by physically remove the power from the computer (disconnecting the power plug) and then removing a battery (used to maintain power to the PROM chip that contains the Bios/CMOS information) from the motherboard. Some, but not all, motherboard manufacturers provide a set of three jumpers on their motherboards that provide you with the ability to clear the Bios/CMOS settings, thereby allowing them to be reset. For the most part this is used when the Bios/CMOS data becomes scrambled and you need to clear the Bios/CMOS in order to return the computer to a functional state. This same procedure, however, can be used to clear passwords from the Bios/CMOS setup. Typically a jumper will be found across pins #1 and #2 as the default position, and by shutting the computer down, unplugging the power cord and then moving the jumper so that it is across pins #2 and #3 will clear the Bios/CMOS settings. But do not forget to put it back at its same pin as before.

Hello, can help me, my laptop ACER EXTENZA 4630 SERIES, why i can open the password bios when i re install the laptop..? thanks

Yes by default the bios is unprotected/no password. All you have to do if you want to setup bios password just go to bios then create supervisor password then it will have password everytime you need to access the bios. For info. bios password is not related to re-installation / installing your OS.

Passworld clear for Bios

Im afraid you have no choice but to restart your entire BIO's
They're two ways to do this, both include opening the case
  1. Remove the BIO's jumper and restart then reinsert
  2. Remove the CMOS battery and reinsert
Only reinsert when you have discharged all static electricity and the computer is powered off

Good luck

Actually i set a bios password for security purpose but then i forget that password somehow..........so i need a masterpassword for this.........

There's no easy way to recover a lost Bios password.
There is, however, an easy way to reset one! You'll need a screwdriver, a flashlight, and a diagram of the motherboard in that computer.
The goal is to find the Clear CMOS jumper (CLCMS is sometimes printed on the board itself). It will have three pins and one 'jumper' which closes a two pin circuit. It will currently be in it's 'open' position. With the power off and unit unplugged, you will want to find this jumper, move it to a 'closed' position, count to five, then move it back to 'open'.
This will reset all of the Bios information, including the password. Keep in mind it will reset the entire Bios however and if there are specific settings for your computer you'll need to put those back in to resume normal function. Of course you can't get into the Bios without that password either, so give it a whirl. You'll be in no worse shape than you are right now.
Best of luck, William

Would you please help me , I forget my laptop Acer aspire 2920 and model no ms2229 bios password, and i'm not able to format my laptop system is asking utility password which i dont remember , ...

The simple and most easiest way is to remove the bios cell(Cmos).
Take out the CMOS battery and wait 10 - 25 minutes before putting it back in. The reason for this wait is because the computer can still store power in its capacitors even though everything is unplugged. The waiting period allows enough time for them to discharge.

second way is pheonix backdoor passwords are:-
  • BIOS
  • CMOS
  • phoenix
  • PHOENIX
these are case senstivtve.

third way is bios crack software.if you are going to try this plz download the version of bios you are using right now as back up.as these software can result into unwanted results.

I want 2 remove password from bios

The BIOS password is stored in CMOS memory that is maintained while the PC is powered off by a small battery, which is attached to the motherboard. If you remove this battery, all CMOS information (including the BIOS password) will be lost.

Forgot bios password

Hi ,
You need to reset your CMOS.Open your CPU cover.and look for CMOS battery. Its a button cell. You have to remove that battery and on the machine and go into bios.It will remove your cmos password.
But if this thing not worke then find out CMOS reset jumper on your motherboard. It will be located somewhere near your CMOS battery.Just remove that jumper and connect to reset settings.and start your machine. It will remove your password.
