Vertical overscan, Samsung LCD LN-S3251

Have vertical over scan to extent that "Trailer" on Fox News displays below bottom of bezel. Are there any adjustments to correct this?

The picture has become taller than the screen and peoples heads are topped off and the words at the bottom are below the screen line. This has just happened over the past few days and does not occur while watching dvd's. Any help?

SOURCE: Vertical over scan

There is a way to adjust your screen size. You need to access the service menu on the set. With your remote, Press "mute+1+8+2+power" to access it. Be very careful doing this,as not to change your other factory settings. Good luck and don't forget to send feedback to fixya. Let me know - edcarsonjr

If you get the vertical lines from the top all the way down to the bottom of the screen, it can be two things: the LCD panel is bad (very expensive) or the LCD panel driver board.

A vertical green line approx center screen, go from top to bottom

It could be one of two things. One of the bottom buffer boards could be bad or the lcd itself is bad.

Blue/black vertical line in the middle of screen

Sounds like a bad connection on a ribbon cable or plug comming or going to the LCD display. This is something you should not try to fix as these circuits are very very fradgile and you can easily break or tear a ribbon cable . Call the manufacturer to get a tech to assit you. Good Luck
