I don't know my passkey for bluetooth on my iP-max2 or where I can find it

Hello,
Passkey is the pairing code generated to authenticate a bluetooth device when it is connected for the first time.
If you have connected the device before and has not removed it, you can send and recieve files directly when your bluetooth device is in range. On the other hand, if you have removed the device or trying to pair it for the first time, it is necessary that you enter the passkey.
For that you need to follow these simple steps:
  • Have the device in range.
  • Open Bluetooth devices sheet on your laptop.
  • First, click on bluetooth settings and see that your computer is discoverable by other bluetooth devices. Enable it if necessary.
  • Close the dialogue box and click on 'Add Bluetooth Devices'.
  • It will show a list of all available devices.
  • Select the device you need to connect.
  • It will automatically generate the Passkey for that device.
  • Enter this passkey in the device and you are done.
I hope it will solve your problem.
Please don't hesitate to ask anything else related. I am following up.
Always at your service.

Regards.

Just bought the bluetooth and its asking for a passkey. idk if that passkey comes from my phone or the bluetooth, and how can i find out what that passkey is

go to the menu on your phone select manage connections set up bluetooth then you'll see search listen, etc. position on search don't press yet
get your ear piece ready: press the on button and hold it until you see a solid blue light (not blinking but solid) if it blinks try again until you get a solid blue light (it takes about 5-8 seconds) when that happens go to your phone and press search it will look for devices (it may find several) look for your earpiece model and select it
it will ask for a code or passkey, type 0000. Then it's going to ask if you want to bond or pair click yes and it will connect
check on the connection manager again and your bluetooth should be on and connected.
if it works for you, don't forget to rate me

thx

Hello,

The batteries from Ebay that are from China have lots of issues. I use an HP 6945 phone/pda and had the same issue with my original battery. I tried a cheap battery and it died within 2 months. I ordered an HP original battery and have been using it again full strength for 7 months. The new battery works bluetooth, wi-fi and gps as well as phone down to about 15% before I recharge. The HP batteries are more expensive but they are worth the extra price.

Normally you setup a passkey or use 0000 or 9999 as a passkey.

The question is, does that pop up when you try to connect a USB device? Do you get that when you try to install the dongle? (That shouldn't happen). If you are trying to connect a PDA or cell phone, you setup the passkey for the connecting device on the computer then type it in to the PDA or mobile phone. If you are trying to connect a bluetooth headset, then you use whatever code is from the manufactorer. Normally this is 0000 or 9999.

Hope this helps!

Once the Socketcom Bluetooth card is inserted in the Toshiba Pocket e570 PC and the software has been loaded, the following instructions will set up the Toshiba PDA & Ericsson T39 mobile phone to connect to the Internet. Click on the Bluetooth icon in the bottom right hand corner. Click on Get Connected! Select the device under My Bluetooth phone is: In this case the Ericsson T39. The following information gives details on how to change the name of the Mobile device. Once this has been read, click on Next. The phone now has to be made discoverable so that the PDA will detect it. To do this, use the down arrow on the phone to select Extras and then click on Yes. Scroll down to Bluetooth and Click on Yes. Select Make Discoverable and a message on the phone will appear saying that the phone is discoverable for the next 3 minutes. Click on Next on the PDA. The PDA will now look for a Bluetooth device(s). Once the mobile is detected the PDA will search for the Device Name of the mobile. Click on Select and the devices will not connect and create a partnership. The following Device Bonding window should appear to create a bond between the PDA and phone. Click on Next. To create the bond a passkey must be entered on the PDA. This may be a between a 4-16 digit code. N.B. We would advise that the code be kept to a numeric sequence as the keys contain more than one letter on them, i.e. for the letter L, the number 5 key will need to be depressed 3 times. Once the passkey is entered, click on the Reply button. On the mobile, click on Yes to accept the incoming pass and then enter the same passkey. Click on Yes again to confirm. If the two values are correct, a message will appear on the phone telling you that the devices are bonded. The PDA should now congratulate you on your connection. For Internet access via Bluetooth, please follow the steps outlined below. The above instructions only need to be carried out each time a connection is required. However, the instructions below only need to be setup once. Click on Start, then Settings from the drop down menu. Click on the Connections tab at the bottom of the screen followed by the Connections icon utility. In the first drop box labelled "When needed automatically connect to The Internet using these settings" select New. Under the General tab you will be prompted to give the new connection a name, e.g. Bluetooth. Select the modem "Bluetooth Phone" and click on Next Make sure that the fields for the boxes titled Country code and Area code, are empty. The next field requires the full telephone number, including STD code, you wish to dial, i.e. your ISP telephone number. Put this in and click on Next. The next page contains a time out clause if the PDA is unable to connect within a set time. By default this should be 120 seconds. Make sure the tick box for "Wait befo
