Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z55 Digital Camera
The cam was in my bag(i didn't remove the batt), i must have turned it on accidentally. the cams lens was 3/4 stuck, so in my attempt to fix it i pushed the lens in hoping that it would be fixed. but when i tried to turned it on, the lens wont retract and i cant see the pics on the LCD. please help!
You may be lucky like me .My wife turned on the Casio Lens down and got same problem as you.
I dismantled the front face of camera to gain access to the lens system and found that one of the plastic sprockets had its teeth slightly twisted!I managed to straightened these carefully with a knife and now Casio good as new....zoom also working perfectly.
This is an easy fix and from what I hear people are giving up on an out of warranty camera, when in fact they maybe abke to easily fix it themselves.
I dont mind helping anyone ...my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.

Does anyone know how to fix the System Error (0e01) that I keep getting when I turn on my camera. The Lens retracts and the LCD fires up, but all it does is flash System Error (0e01).
If anyone has any suggestions or possible solutions, I would really appreciate it.
