Can remove programs from "Add or Remove Programs"

I am trying to remove and clean up software from a computer that I want to donate to my church. There are some older programs in the Add or Remove Programs selection from the Control Panel that give me errors when I try to remove them. For example, one has to do with an application that used to run on a Palm PDA that I had. When I try to remove it, the Uninstall Shield popup comes up, but then it goes away and a box comes up and says "Unable to locate the installation log file" and it give a path to a directory that has been deleted sometime in the past. Is there anyway to get rid of that program from the Add or Remove Programs listing?

Well, starting in Safe Mode had no effect whatsoever. I still get the same error message when trying to remove the programs from Add or Remove Programs from the Control Panel. Any more ideas?

You should always remove and uninstall programs from your PC that you are not using. It could be beneficial to your computer's productivity and functioning to free up space. How to remove google tool bar or web search. Every sinc it was installed enternex exployer is slow runs eratic.

You can remove the Google toolbar from the Add/Remove programs area of your computer. However, some toolbars, such as MyWebSearch, are actually malware that hijack your browser. To truly remove them, you will need to run software to clean it out. I recommend Malwarebytes and Super Antispyware; both are free software that can be downloaded from download.com

I had the same problem when I tried to uninstall, so I went to my control panel, programs then uninstall a program, right clicked on flip toast and clicked on change, then it gives you options to remove or to change, click remove then it will ask to run something allow it then it will remove it from your computer.

Tried to remove PC Mighty Max and cannot!

Is it now missing from add/remove programs.Windows add/remove
is a useless program anyway, you can go into safe mode(reboot your pc tap f8) and delete the folder that is in your program files. Return to normal operation. There are two ways to remove the registry keys
for this program, manual and a free cleaner, called Ccleaner, you should get this and clean your registry, besides it is good to clean
it when you install and uninstall programs. Below is the link to the free cleaner, its not bad for free.
