Question about Navman Tracker 5600 GPS Receiver

Tracker 5600 tracker will not aquire a position. Has worked up to the previous outing.

    Unit powers up, but will not aquire satellites. have checked the antenna end, and yet to trace back through boat.

We had this. Cause was simply a broken aerial cable. Traced by local electrician and re jointed.

I had the same problem and sent the unit in for repair. They simply updated the software and the problem went away!

Antenna problem


You may presume right, or you may presume wrong. I checked the manual and there are a lot of things to do get the system running. I suggest you take a look at the manual. If that does not help you solve the problem, you can buy another antenna.

Have you got an user's manual fo a tracker 5600, I have bought a navman 5600 but it didn't have a manual with it.

I have a 5600 that has been accidentally leaned on and broken the power terminal can i get this replaced.


I have the identical problem - it works OK though but I would v much like to get a spare 10 pin terminal so i can rely on it a bit more!

Tracker 5600 cant see display worked fine last week


Last fishing trip was at night and due to the brilliance of the display my son turnred it down and unknown to me actually turned it off ( the backlight) and it was only after trying everything else found it was the simple solution of turning it (the backlight) back on. oops

When the unit turns on all looks well, until the gps gets a position anf then it shuts down (screen goes blank. Is there a way to reboot ther GPS


Is it connected to a power source? If not then it may need to be fully charged and then connected . Many GPS fail due to low battery power or a bad power source.

Mine is doing the same and it turns out that the backlight, which is a small fluro type tube is blown. Cant find anyone who wants to sell me one.

I have bought a boat with a Navman Tracker 5600 and I want to buy a C-Map card for it for my region, I have been told I need "the old black type" but no one can tell me what the card or type of card is called. I also need to find out where I can purchase onr from. Thanks to anyone that can help in anticipation, regards Trev T
