Question about HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Lowest part of every line won't print

Hi all. I have pretty new black and color cartridges in my HP 6210, but no matter what, the lowest part of every line in a text doc won't print. For instance, with every letter that goes underneath the line -- g, y, p, etc. -- the lower third of the letter won't print. Anyone have an idea? You can also e-mail me at borisfishman@gmail.com. Thanks so much for any help.

Ridza, thank you for that, but I can't find any kind of nozzle check in the printer menu. Best I can find is "clean print cartridges," and that's done little. I also tried to align printer cartridges, for what that's worth -- not much difference in the print quality. If you have any other thoughts, would be grateful to hear.

Even though your cartridges are newish it sounds like some of the nozzles are blocked. If you go through the menus on your printer and hp driver on your machine and try to find something like a nozzle check (all inkjets have them) and see if the graph prints out perfectly. If there are any gaps (particularly at the bottom) then you have blocked nozzles. These can be fixed usually by running a few printhead cleans which can usually be found in the same menu as the nozzle check.

The printer won't print. It says replace the color ink cartridge. All I want to do is print black and white.

You can only use the black ink cartridge without the color ink. But no need to replace them in your printer.
When you print just choose black and white for the printed text must be black not colored. But if you still received such notification...just try to replace the color ink cartridge to continue printing
Note: As per my experience. printer with exclusive black ink alone will damage the printer easily due to unbalance printing of ink

Can I disable the color? It's empty but black is full

even if it is empty, most printers require that you have the color cartridge installed. you have to go into the printer settings and change it there to print only black copy.

Color printing not working

It sounds like the repair shop did not repair the cartridge holder properly, or they did not align it properly. If you can it would be best to take it back to the repair center and have them fix it correctly.

Trying to put back in the color ink cartridge for 6210

The printers are bad about damaging the ribbon cable inside the print cartridge when you replace the ink cartridge. There is a small wire spring that gets pushed through the cable rendering the printer useless. Poor design by HP. How do I know? I did it to mine. It's cheaper to buy a new one then to have it repaired.
