The guide button won't work until its synced, you need to push the button on the console to look for controllers then the button on the controller and it will sync it and then it should work fine. If that doesn't work then try hitting the button on the controller first then the one on the console.
I got one about a week ago, and it works fine for most things... I had trouble with the programing button, since the clear button did nothing ..... to program the controller, you need to hit program button, then hit the buttons you want it to do, the first button you hit will be your start button. like if you wanted to do X Y R R L A, you would hit program and it should light up flashing... hit X Y R R L A and then hit program button again. when you want to use the series of buttons just hit X and it will automatically go through them. Now if you want it to go just normal X again you have to hit program button then X then hit program button again. that should just be the x button all over again.
For the Turbo Button you need to hit the button you want to repeat and then while holding that button down hit the Turbo button..... it will start flashing and boom you have rapid fire and you only have to hold button down to get it to repeat...
My receiver died two days ago, i opened it up, and the Fuse was damaged, dont know how it could happen, not that much of current going thru that receiver, well the thing is all you have to do is get a solderer, and soldering iron, remove the fuse and solder a little cable so that you have a close circuit, The fuse is on the down side of the PCB (Printed Circuit Board), its named after F1
You need to reconnect your controller to your xbox. Next to the two memory slots on the front of your xbox, there should be a small round button. Turn on both your controller and your xbox. Push the little round button. There should be a similar button on your controller. Push that too. They should recognize each other.
There is a way to fix it: go into your control panel under Game controllers, select your logitech cordless rumblepad 2 and hit
properties -> settings -> Enable Swap Mode -> close -> ok
Now start Gears of War and go into the options menu under controls for the controller.
Invert Axis = yes Joystick Mode = Left-handed
This fixes the problem with the joysticks, but there is still a button fix that needs to happen. operations for buttons 2&3 are swapped, same thing with buttons 1&4, 5&7 and 6&8. I don't how to fix this problem yet.
I had the same thing happen to me, if it's just two lights that flash for a moment and then turn off. It means the controller is having a hardware failure. I ended up just returning the controller and got a new one. This generally occurs in 3rd-party controllers like Mad Catz.
