it starts fine and the computer reconizes the player as a drive. i had music on it yesterday but i put another album on it and then i restarted and it refreshed the player clearing all my music

os it´s a shorter name for operativ system it´s like xp,vista,98 (microsoft)

    or mac... or linux

so can you start the mp4?

does it boot´s like it should?

... does it connects to the computer?

.. you maby can just format the musik and video partition

i know some tricks about this but it´s good to take 1 step at the time.. you may sometimes think it can´t be more bricked but it can !

You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter to convert videos (and photos) to a format the Sansa can handle.

My sansa mp3 player doesn`t seem to charge anymore. what do i do?

My best bet is the cable gone wrong. If you can find a similar cable to purchase from a computer shop or a friend you can try it.

Load main screen imaged fialed switch to recovery mode...

Reset All
NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED OPERATION AND RESTORES ALL SETTINGS
TO THE FACTORY DEFAULTS. NORMAL USERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED
TO PERFORM THIS OPERATION!
If your device freezes up press the Menu button and hold for 15 seconds.
This is like a power down of the device. Once you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during last operation
will be gone.....IF that doesn't work try to recover...download the update software and install then lock your sansa hold in the rec key on the left at the same time push the menu/power button this will take you to recovery mode then connect to the computer Star the update software if it doesn't start automatic goto /start /all programs /Sandisk/sansa updater/ sansa updater and start it up manually... follow instructions on the updater and the sansa hope this works.... How do I recover a recording deleted accidentally from Sansa e250

It is possible to recover your lost recordings.

First things first: DO NOT take any more recordings with the MP3 that you want to recover records from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of recovery.

Then Connect the MP3 to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Next, if you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a data recovery utility that will recover your recordings with Wondershare Recovery Software from the following link:

Video Audio Photo Recovery (if you are running Windows OS)
Mac Data Recovery (from MacUpdate site)

Do NOT try & write anything back to your MP3 until you can recover your recordings safely!

Adding a 8GB MICRO SD card to the Sansa e260

I read somewhere that a 4 GB Micro SD card is the largest you can put in the SanDisk Sansa E260 expansion slot. It's maximum capacity is 8 GB, with internal + external memory put together. This is from what I've read. Hope this helps.
