After opening the case carefully pull the black "button" off. It will pull off fairly easily. From there you will be able to see the white plastic gears. Again, carefully remove them keeping in mind the order and placement they were in. Once you get down to the metal contact disk use a cleaning solution to remove any grime that may have accumulated there. I had used alcohol. Reassemble and viola it's back to good.

The buttons are sticking on my technika mp4 and there appears to be no way to take it apart

usually mp3s and mp4 are sealed by pressure. if yu take apart, u wont be able to put it back unless yu use sometime of industrial glue. as for the buttons part , get a really fine tool like the one the use to clean the back of your teeth and try to use it to clean the outside of the buttons part. try also pressing it a bunch of times see if it still sticks. if you take it apart be real careful with the connections to the screen. try not to touch any part of that. when you take it apart try working in a calm enviroment and try not to rush it. these mp3s and mp4s are really sensitive

My sansa player got works but i can not pick anything with the moveing is stuck on music and i can play all the music but i can not go any where eles! should i take it apart?

Sounds like you have grit in the wheel housing, I suggest cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, blow out with compressed air and then lubricate with a light household oil like 3 in 1.

If this fails to work then the electric contacts are corroded, disassemble, clean and reassemble and all should be fine.

There are step by step procedures for taking your Fuze apart here:

Hope this helps, Mike

To reset an iPod with a Click Wheel, including: ipodnano3.jpg ipodclassic.jpg icon_ipod_5g.gif ipodnano2.jpg ipodnano.jpg ipodphoto.gif ipodg4.gif ipodmini.gif

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

Click Wheel

This usually happens if the iPod wheel is defective, sometimes caused by getting in contact with water sometimes simply through wear and tear. If you're out of warranty, There are specialized online tutorials with iPod Repair instructions that will guide you through the steps of taking it apart and replacing the wheel altogether otherwise you'll have to send it to any third party iPod repair service and they'll replace the wheel for you.
