Hi 2toy, your computer might not recognize the XA-HD500 if you connect it to your PC through a USB 2.0 hub if the hub also has slower USB 1.1 devices connected to it. This is a problem with the XA-HD500’s firmware, and downloading a firmware upgrade from JVC’s Web site should fix the problem.

To do this, open a Web browser with an active Internet connection and go to the following URL: www.jvc.com/custrel/index.jsp. Click the XA-HD500 Firmware Upgrade link to download the firmware upgrade and the XA-HD500 Firmware Upgrade Instructions link to view the instructions for properly installing the firmware upgrade.

As a general word of caution, upgrading a device’s firmware is similar to editing your PC’s registry. Be absolutely certain you know how to perform the necessary steps before actually carrying them out. A botched firmware upgrade can irrevocably damage your hardware.

    Hope it helps you.

    Enjoy

Pls. rate & hope to hear more from you..

    tnx

Whats the best computer protection? i have NORTON 360

Best protection is to stay away from the p-rn sites and not go to sites with illegal contents or open e mail attachments from parties you do not know. U abide by that and 99.44 % of the time you will be safe. Virus programs exact a tremendous strain on a computer's hardware and slow the machine down tremendously. If you must use one, use the MS security program that works well and does not slow up the machine as much and is FREE.

How to Remove DRM Protection From ITunes?

<p>This application is compatible with most of the new and advanced Windows operating systems. All you need to do is to import a list of DRM protected songs and videos. You can select a suitably compatible and universally applicable format for these files.</p>DRM is short for Digital Rights Management. This is the security that aims at protecting and safeguarding the content being streamed or played via any advanced platform like ITunes. Essentially, this is the kind of protection, which is given by the access controllers of ITunes. They place certain restrictions on the files which are being played or being accessed through ITunes. It is a major concern for the software authorities that some of the downloaded content may be damaging for many devices. Therefore, files being played via the ITunes are protected and not allowed to be compatible with any other player.<p>There are many benefits, when you have DRM protection or security in the applications for music and videos. One of the benefits is that DRM security acts as a filter for all the files, which are being downloaded and played on such advanced platforms. You don¡¯t need to worry about your applications facing troubles, whilst playing music. The harmful files will be automatically blocked by your active DRM security for ITunes or any other application for music and multimedia purposes. Thus, applications such as ITunes will play only authorized and safe content that is entirely benign.</p>However, this DRM protection may serve as a barrier for playing any other ^} music and video files on the Apple players as well as other player systems. One of the ways to remove drm itunes</a> can be explained as follows. First, you have to select the files that you have purchased from the ITunes store. When this is done, you need to burn them into a CD or a CD-WR. Then, you need to copy back the burned files into a new ITunes playlist. Once this is done, you need to save the new playlist and delete the original list. Thus, your DRM protection will be removed permanently.<p>Some other methods involve converting the DRM protected tracks and files into universally compatible formats. One of them is to download or purchase a new DRM Removal Software. This application is compatible with most of the new and advanced Windows operating systems. All you need to do is to import a list of DRM protected songs and videos. You can select a suitably compatible and universally applicable format for these files. Once this is done, you need to click on Convert. With such easy steps, these files will lose their DRM protection and they can be played on any ordinary platform.</p>Finally, there is another way toremove drm from itunes</a> . This is to use the QTFairUse Freeware program. This program acts as well as any other application for removing the DRM protection systematically. With some easy and handy keyboard clicks, you can get many of your protected files converted into MP4 and mE4 formats. You need to type in Y and Enter to get all your files converted to new formats. These stored files can be played on many players and systems for multimedia.<p>The simple way to use Aimersoft drm media converter that can help you remove itunes drm</a> ,then after removing drm ,you can enjoy the files on various portable players such as iphone, ipad, ipod, etc when you remove drm itunes movies</a>.</p>

I don't have recovery partition

follow this step and do it. God bless you

  • To create a partition from a new or newly formatted computer, make sure Windows is installed. Load any programs and drivers you would like to keep in case you need to back up to a previous version of your computer's settings.

  • 2

Install your partition creation software; in this article we will use Norton Ghost. Before creating your partition, disable any anti virus and other scanning software.

  • 3

Create your partition by going to your ms-dos prompt: from your Start menu, press "Run," and type "cmd" without quotations in the run dialog box. At the dos prompt, type "fdisk" without quotations, and choose option 1 (Create DOS partition or Logical DOS Drive). Set the partition size to 10 GB at press enter.

  • 4

Open Norton Ghost and follow the instructions to create a recovery partition in the new partition you had just created. The process should take anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the size of the files you are going to back up.

  • 5

Restart your computer. When done, open Norton Ghost to verify that the Recovery Partition was created.

Hi im anthony and i had bought a laptop from a guy and it has k9 web protection on it and im tryn to get it took off can u pleasde help me

there are two methods you can try.
    Method 1
If you have the administrator account password for the local computer and the best way to uninstall K9 web filter from the local computer is to re-install it! Re-install k9 web protection will simply get you a new license code and a new password you can enter without the need of old password.
1.Open K9 web protection website 2.Click "get K9 NOW" tab on the top-left 3.Fill out the information and your email. 4.Download the K9 Web protection software from the link included in the email and keep a copy of the license. 5.Grab a version of the K9 web protection installed on your computer, a Google search should do the job. 6.Open "Task Manager" by press (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and end the process K9filter found in the "Process" tab. 7.Now, you can safely delete the K9 web protection program files. Open computer explorer and go to the folder where K9 is originally installed. It can be found mostly at C:\Program Files/Blue Coat k9 Web Protection. 8.Remove the contents of the folder but not the folder. 9.Run the K9 web protection setup/installer file which has the same version as the one you just delete 10.Provide the license and create your new password 11.Point the installation folder to the same folder you just empty the contents earlier on 12.Now you can have a re-installed K9 web protection with a password you know. How do you uninstall K9 web protection now? Use the new password you just created If something goes wrong, install the K9 web protection program downloaded from Step 4.
    Method 2
Reboot Windows into safe mode: restart your computer and hold "F8? key until you see the menu to choose "Safe Mode" Login to windows and go to "Program Files" directory and delete the K9 folder manually (delete only the contents but leave the folder) Click "Start"->"Run" and type "msconfig" Check the tab "Services" and tab "Startup" Un-check anything that is related to k9 If somehow this method is messed up, try to download K9 again to at least restore your previous installation. If this still does not work, try to install Revo Uninstaller.

    How can active my system?

In some cases, say when you're building and testing a webpage locally (Local Machine Zone), you may still see the Information Bar when the web page executes any script, initiates a Pop-up windows, or a download. For testing purposes, one needs to follow any of these workarounds:

    • Rename the .HTM file to .HTA (Example.. Index.HTM to Index.HTA and test the file locally). HTA files have more privileges than the HTM files, can run active content on Local Machine by default.

      -or-

    • add the Mark Of The Web code such as <!-- saved from url=(0023)http://www.contoso.com/ --> to a Web page, where the (0023) value is the string length of your URL that follows it and Contoso is the name of your Web site.

The above is an extract from Local Machine Zone Lockdown - Developer Implications. See page for more information about the two workarounds above.
To totally disable the Local Machine Zone restriction (for running Active Content) (not recommended, though) for valid reasons, read below:
To allow any Web site to run scripts and ActiveX controls on your computer:
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Security section of the list. Select the Allow active content to run in files on My Computer check box, and then click OK.

    lmzlock_disable.jpg
To accomplish this via the Registry, modify the following registry value:
    HKCU \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main \ FeatureControl \ FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN
In the right-pane, create a new REG_DWORD named iexplore.exe and set it to 0
    Values:
0 - Allows a Web page to run active content in your computer
1 - Disallows a Web page from running active content in your computer
To allow any CD to run scripts and ActiveX controls on your computer:
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Security section of the list. Select the Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer check box, and then click OK.

ITunes takes forever to load on my Windows 7 PC (e.g. 10 minutes) - what can be done to fix this?

Resolution Create a New User Account When troubleshooting a variety of issues, it can be useful to determine if the issue affects a specific Windows user account or all accounts. Follow the steps below to create a new user account in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
    2. Open Add or remove user accounts (If using the Classic View in Windows Vista, open User Accounts. Then open Manage another account).
    3. Select Create a new account and follow the instructions to complete the account setup process.
    4. Once the new account is created, choose Log Off from the Start menu.
    5. Log into the newly created user account.
    6. Open iTunes and determine whether the issue you were experiencing persists in this new user.
If you see the same issue in the newly created user account, proceed to the System-wide troubleshooting section below. If you do not experience the same issue, consult the User-specific troubleshooting section below.
User-specific troubleshooting If your issue only happens in one particular user account, some of the suggestions below may resolve the issue. Before proceeding however, you'll need to make hidden files and folder visible in Windows. Follow steps 1-5 in iTunes for Windows in Windows Vista doesn't open after upgrading.
    • Remove iTunes Plug-ins
Third-party iTunes plug-ins can cause many issues, particularly if the plug-in has not been updated to be compatible with new versions of iTunes. iTunes plug-ins are stored in the following location:
      C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingApple ComputeriTunesiTunes Plug-ins
    • Remove iTunes Preference files
Some of the files that iTunes uses to store settings and preferences may be unusable and cause issues. iTunes has two folders where preferences are saved. Move one of them to the desktop and test to see if the issue persists. If it does, move it back and remove the second folder. The location for the two preference folders are:
      • C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalApple ComputeriTunes
      • C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingApple ComputeriTunes
    • Create a new iTunes Library
      1. Hold the Shift key while opening iTunes. You will be prompted to Choose iTunes Library.
      2. Choose Create Library to create a new one. In the following window you will be prompted to select a location to save the new iTunes Library.
      3. Click Save. iTunes will open the newly created library. After closing iTunes, you can always select the original library by using the Shift key when opening iTunes.
    • Recreate your iTunes Library
If you iTunes library has become unusable, rebuilding it as described in How to recreate your iTunes Library and Playlists may resolve the issue.
Check for content files with issues
Sometimes a certain audio file can cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly or stop responding when it is analyzing gapless playback information. To determine which file(s) may be cause the issue follow the steps below:
    1. Quit iTunes.
    2. Navigate to the iTunes folder:
      • Windows Vista - C:usersusernameMusiciTunes
      • Windows 7 - C:usersusernameMy MusiciTunes
    3. Move the iTunes Library.itl file to your desktop
    4. Open iTunes. You should not see any content in iTunes.
    5. From the File menu, choose Add Folder to Library.
    6. Navigate to the folder where your music is located. Typically this is
      • Windows Vista - C:usersusernameMusiciTunesiTunes Media
      • Windows 7 - C:usersusernameMy MusiciTunesiTunes Media
    7. Note: This folder may be called iTunes Music if it was created with iTunes 8 or earlier.

    8. Choose an artist, album, or single song to add the to the library
    9. Wait for iTunes to successfully add the songs to your library and perform the gapless playback scan.
    10. If successful, continue adding back more songs to your library.
    11. If there is an issue with one of your files, you will notice your issue reappear after you attempt to add it to the library. At this point you should repeat these steps being careful not to add the files that cause the issue to occur.
System-wide troubleshooting When troubleshooting system-wide issues with iTunes, there are a few different suggestion to try.
    • Check for viruses
Windows viruses can interfere with a variety of computer functions including iTunes. Make sure that you have current anti-virus software installed with updated virus definitions and use it to scan your system.
    • Check for anti-virus and/or Internet security software
Internet Security software itself can sometimes cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly. Try disabling the Internet Security software temporarily or exempting iTunes from any active scanning done by such software. If this resolves the issue, check with the maker of the software for an update to the software or its virus definitions. See the following article for more information: iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
    • Conflicting processes
Sometimes other programs and start-up items can conflict with iTunes, look at the following article to troubleshoot such conflicts:
Using MSCONFIG to troubleshoot conflicts in Windows Vista and Windows 7
    • Removing iTunes configuration files
Removing unusable configuration files that iTunes uses can resolve launch issues. See "iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7 doesn't open after upgrading" for information.
    • Check the iTunes and QuickTime installations
An improper installation of iTunes or QuickTime can contribute to a variety of issues. Follow the article below to learn how to completely reinstall iTunes and QuickTime:
Trouble installing iTunes or QuickTime software in Windows
    • Update the drivers on your PC
Having outdated drivers on your computer can cause strange behaviour with iTunes, QuickTime, iPod, and other applications. See this link to update the drivers on your computer.

I am not able to open any attached file in the incoming mail showing error like documents is damaged. But I can open that in direct mail server please help

If you are unable to open any attached file in your incoming mail and are using Microsoft Office 2007, run registry editor (regedit.exe) and scroll to the following location:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Security

Copy the contents of the "OutlookSecureTempFolder" key and paste it in the Windows Explorer to open the OutlookSecureTempFolder. Delete all files in this folder and then run Outlook.

This location can not be browsed to and can only be found from the registry as it is different for all users. e.g. for myself it is as follows:

    D:\Users\keekus\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\R34DKK8O\

For earlier versions of Microsoft Office, you may find the "OutlookSecureTempFolder" in these locations:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security

    or

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10\Outlook\Security

How can i change the format that my "magix Photostory CD & DVD" program burns my pictures/music to a DVD that WILL play on a home DVD player and not just a computer? I have a Windows XP

There are three ways to create a Video CD (VCD) that contains your photo stories:
You can obtain Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition and view the Photo Story 3-authored WMV file in Photo Story 2 by going to Play your story or create a video CD of your story and then create a VCD.using the Photo Story 2 Video CD-burning feature.
    • You can obtain Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10 or above and view the Photo Story 3-authored WMV file in the Photo Story that comes with the Digital Image Library and save and burn to VCD.
    • You can obtain VCD-authoring products that work with Photo Story files, such as MyDVD by Sonic Solutions or InstantCD\DVD by Pinnacle Systems. You can use these software to convert the Windows Media video (WMV) files into files that can be copied to a DVD and played in a DVD player.
Note: VCD and DVD-authoring software is not included with Photo Story 3.
