Question about Video Cameras
Today my brother's camcorder hit the floor! I actually tripped over the cord while it was plugged in. Didn't seem to hit hard. Was blurry and then went to nothing. Can't get into menu, can't take tape out? Any ideas?? Thanks! My brother is getting married this weekend! We were going to tape the wedding!!
I have a GRD63EK and I did the same thing to it yesterday. I believe mine worked until picking it up twisted the firewire, bending it down.
I am not sure of this as it all happened at once
Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
