Question about Sirius STILETTO 100 MP3 Player

Stiletto Only charges via usb (no wall or dock power)

I purchased this stiletto 100 used, and it works fine except doesn't charge in auto dock, or via the wall charger. It only charges when connected to the PC. which doesn't use the main power jack. I tried Reset & erase, but it didnt fix. any ideas?

Return it is you can. Its not suppoused to "charge" via USB, it is only ment to be self-sustaining not charge. Contact Sirius for Warranty Return info.

Scroll wheel goes crazy/ not responsive

Stiletto 2 volume in car is lower than regular stations


Try increasing the volume on the stiletto itself.

I have stiletto 10 will not charge when plugged in


Did you try the back ,off radio slot too.Also check contacts andturn it off anlet it come on,let it charge with opening (dog and stars),Good Luck. union kk

I'm recieving a strong signal on my stiletto 2 but no sound on the radio. The MP3 player works with headphones and so does internet radio.


You need the firmware upgrade from the Sirius website:

Bug Fixes
· Reduced incidence of “acquiring signal” and “antenna not detected” messages
while the radio is installed in the Stiletto Vehicle dock (SLV2)
· Improved audio quality and distortion reduction
· Reduced incidence of long block recording and Radio Replay corruption
How to Get this Release
Updating over WiFi:
Subscribers may update Stiletto 2 over WiFi by following these steps:
1. Power cycle the Stiletto 2 by holding the power/lock switch down for 5 seconds
and releasing.
2. Turn on the Stiletto 2 and press the HOME button
3. Use the MEDIA DIAL to scroll to Internet Radio
4. Press the SELECT button to connect to Internet Radio
5. Tune to your favorite station and let it play for several hours.
6. Follow prompts on screen to complete the update, then power cycle your radio to
apply the updates.
7. Next go to HomeSettingsDeviceDevice info, if the baseband version is
already 00.14.94 you are done. If not, continue to the next step.
8. Reconnect to Internet Radio and listen for at least 15 minutes.
9. Disconnect, and tune to Satellite Radio. Updating Sirius will be displayed for
approximately 5 minutes.
10. Once the message clears, your update should be complete. Go to the Device
Info screen to verify the update has been successful.
Updating using My Sirius Studio™:
Customers without WiFi access may update using My Sirius Studio™ running on a PC
with an active internet connection:
1. Launch My Sirius Studio™ on your computer. Be sure you are running the latest
version of My Sirius Studio, currently version 1.5.1.
2. Power cycle the Stiletto 2 by holding the power/lock switch down for 5 seconds
and releasing.
3. Turn on the Stiletto 2 and connect it to your computer using the USB cable
supplied with your device
4. In My Sirius Studio, click on the gear icon next to the device or go to File
Device Settings Check for Software Update.
5. Follow the instructions that appear in My Sirius Studio™ to complete the update.
Please Note: During the update, your media library must be re-built. If you have a
large amount of content stored or a microSD™ card installed, the process can last
for as long as 10 minutes. During this time the message “updating media library” or
may be displayed.
6. After disconnecting from your PC it will be necessary to power cycle your Stiletto
and connect to Satellite Radio to refresh your channel list.

Service manuals are not available except from manufacturer - they probably won't give you one, but you can always ask. You can check online sites, but call them in person and make sure they have a SERVICE manual, not a USER'S manual. 1-800-869-5590

Stiletto 100 sound only comes out of 1 channel


The "one earphone only" problem is common to many Mp3 players. It is not fixable, and the entire player must be replaced. Attempting to replace the headphone jack and assicated circuit yourself can cause major damage to your player. I know you don't like this answer, but it is the only honest answer.

Double check your signal strength during the time of day your recording sounds like classic signal drop. Could also be software issue or memory issue. As a last resort; SIRIUS Device Recovery (SDR) is a software application that helps you recover your Stiletto (SL2, SL100 or SL10) in the event of a complete system failure.
The SIRIUS Device Recovery program retrieves the latest version of software for your Stiletto from the Sirius website. NOTE: Performing device recovery WILL ERASE the entire contents on your Stiletto: all music, Sirius recordings, channel presets and any user preferences. Stiletto constantly powering off


Solution is downloading the sirius recovery software from sirius.com My radio would not connect to my computer because it would not fully turn on. disconnect the battery. Hold the DISPLAY and OPTIONS button on the radio face when reconnecting battery. Connect to PC and Sirius Recovery Program will pop up. Run program, takes approx 10 to 15 min and radio works good as new.
RUNNING PROGRAM WILL ERASE YOUR LIBRARY ON YOUR RADIO....
