I have a new 37 inch samsung and when I change the channels, it is staticky for 5 to 10 seconds with each channel change, it seems to be getting worse, does this mean our TV is eventually going to die? or what's up? Same things happen if I use the up/down to get to the channels or just type the channel in. After the 10 seconds it is fine, but until then the channel is so fuzzy you cannot even see what is on.

I have a similar problem with my new 37 inch vizio. Watching on cable and the sounds gets lower and lower until i can hardly hear it. Must switch channels back and forth to restore the sound level of a particular channel. Does anybody have a solution ?
that would be the screen driver failing, the shadow is the memory on the screen control its self the board is on the back of the screen with a lead going to it from the main av board, the board has to be replaced with the same part number, as different ares put different screen in when made you will need the part number from the board and replace it this board with same part number.
Hi, How long does it take (in seconds) before it changes teh channel? Because some TV's, if you have more than 10 channels, have to wait before they change because you might want to change to a higher channel Example: suppose your TV has 99 channels but your remote has only buttons from 0 to 9. So if you want to switch to channel 7 the TV waits a little before it actually switch to 7 because there might come another nuber after the 7 as the TV doesnot know what channel you wants. 2 to 3 seconds should be the maximum delay. If it takes more time, check if this can be changed in the menu, often there is a delay possibility in the setup menu. If teh delay is over 4 seconds and you still have warranty on it, just return it to the vendor.
On the original Sony remote control, try typing in a channel manually. Try pressing the numbers "0-4" or "0-5," and waiting for a moment. If the channel changes, then the TV needs to be autoprogrammed. Using the SOny remote control, go into the MENU (or HOME on some Sony remotes), and look for the initial setup screen. It will walk you through the process. The process is also in the original users manual, available on the www.SONY.com website.
