Question about Lexmark JetPrinter Z11 InkJet Color Printer

Reinstall printer Hi i hope you can help me::::: I have a Lexmark 510 printer:::: that was uninstalled by accient::::: I don't have the disk anymore that came with it:::: is there any other way I can Re-install the printer::::: Thank you for any help:::: Larry I NEED THE DISK TO REINSTALL MY LEXMARK Z11 PRINTER.

I have a lexmark 510 printer. I installed it with a disk. The thing takes off and acts like it is working, but it is not printing anything. I bought a new cartridge. I made sure the tape was removed from the contacts. It still does not print? Help!!

If you have Vista:

Please note: At this time, Lexmark does not have a driver for this printer which is supported by Windows Vista.

However, people have reported success using the Windows 2000 driver on Vista.

    Be sure to unplug the printer BEFORE installing the driver.

Lexmark 1300 printer won't work.


Solution#1- If your printer does not show in your hardware list its means that problem belongs to data cable. Kindly check your printer's data cable and plug it properly.

Solution#2- Uninstall printer's software take a reboot and then reinstall its software and then attach your printer or during installation if installation requires.

Downloading and installing.

Remove printer from 'printers & faxes'.

Uninstall printer software from 'add & remove' programs.

Disconnect the printer from your computer.

Reboot your computer.

Install the printer software that you downloaded. Connect printer to computer following on screen instructions.

This is part of the Lexmark printer drivers.

Try to uninstall the drivers then reinstall them.
If you don't use the LExmark printer anymore, then just uninstall.

That should correct the problem.

Reinstall printer


Go to the Lexmark website. you will find the latest drivers in the support section. Limply download the new driver, save it wherever you want on your hard drive, then double click the icon for the downloaded file to install it.

I have a Lexmark Z11 that sat unopened in the box for several years until it was given to me as an emergency printer. The black ink cartridge had been pilfered by the original owner ( he got several of the se printers on clearance for $15 each). I bought a remanufactures high capacity cartridge. It workef fine for the three days of printing I did last week (about 25-30 pages of resumes and reference letters). When I went to use it a week later, it goes through the motions of printing but no ink is put on the page. I ran the clean cartridge several times but still no ink. I tried the new still-in-the-box color cartridge and did get color on the page in the alignment trial, but it was faded and full of white lines. I figured the cartridge was just old. It could be the ink leaked out of the remanufactured cartridge, but when I gently blew on the air hole I got a small splat of ink. (I used to be a sales rep for Canon printers a dozen years ago and we were told to do that to see if the cartridge still had ink.) I deleted and reinstalled the printer, unplugged and replugged cable and power cord twice. The printer receives the command and goes through the motion of printing, but as I said, no ink is put on the page. I have come to the conclusion the perhaps the remanufactured cartridge is at fault and I should take it back for an exchange, Can I get your take on it - is it the cartridge or the printer?
