Everytime I turn on the disney mix max player it shows up saying starting up but, even after 2 days it still will not start. I also can not turn it off once I push the power button. I have already pushed the reset button it still does not work. I have also plugged it into my computer but the same window is there. What can I do so it will work again?

Re: not starting up
Try the recovery tool from their firmware update page. Go here http://digiblue.com/customer-service/faqs/disney/mixmax/17.html and download the instruction document and try that. If that doesn't work you may need to get a replacement.

The Disney Mix Max portable media player is capable of playing audio files in the MP3 format. It can also play videos formatted as WMV and display photos formatted as JPEG. You can convert audio files into MP3 using the Disney Mix Max software -- Mix It Plug-in. The plug-in works with Windows Media Player 10. This software CD came with the player and is not available online. To download music to the device, you can use Windows Media Player 10 or Windows.
Things You'll Need:
* USB cable * Mix It Plug-In installation CD
Convert Non-MP3 Files
Install Mix It Plug-In. Insert the Mix It Plug-in installation CD into the computer's optical drive. Click "Install Mix It Plug-In" when prompted. Tips & Warnings
If you converted files using the Mix It Plug-In, you will need to use Windows Media Player 10 to sync them to the player.
Yep you sure can. Depending on the version of Windows Media Player that you have it's pretty easy to rip the CD and then sync it to your Mix Max. I recommend using Windows Media Player 11 as it's the easiest so I'd recommend you install that first. Then insert your CD into your computer, open Windows Media Player and click on the "Rip" button at the top. Select the tracks on the CD that you want to add to the player and click "Start Rip." Once the tracks have completed ripping click on the "Sync" button at the top right of Windows Media Player. Then just drag the tracks from the library on the left to the sync list on the right and click "Start Sync."
Try going to the following link and follow the directions to flash the firmware in your player. If that doesn't work I'd suggest you call their support line to see about setting up a warranty replacement since they have a 1 year warranty on all of their products. Keep in mind you'll need to have your receipt for verification of the original purchase date and warranty period.
That's not actually how you delete songs from the player. When you connect it to your computer you will see a new removable disk called Mix Max in your My Computer icon or in Computer if you have Vista. Open up that Mix Max icon and then you can highlight and delete only the songs you don't want or all of them.
If the music is already on your computer, it must be in mp3 format, do the following;
1) Open Windows media Player,
2) Connect your Disney Mix Max
4) "Drag" song to where it says "Drag items here",
5) Click "Start Sync"
hmmm, Try connecting to your computer,or open "My Computer"
and see if it recognizes the Disney Mix Max, if it does,
Double click the Disney Icon, and right click on something you want to delete, and click delete, or press "delete" on your keyboard. Be Careful not to delete things you want to keep though....
It has to make a library file of the contents on the player. It uses
that file to display the titles and artists when scrolling through the
menus and what not. You'll have to format your player in order to clear
it up. This will erase everything and then you can put your songs and
stuff back on it. Just make sure that when you do you leave at least 4
megs of space for it to make that library file. Here's a link to the
manufacturers instructions on how to format the player.
