Go to "applications"

Select "prefs"

Select "touchscreen"

Tap the targets on the screen as precisely as possible, then select "done"

NOTE: you need to tap at least 3 targets - maybe more if you don't tap carefully.

This can be a problem between the connection of the PDA to the PC that's why the software cannot synch them so first thing that you can do is toi make sure that computer and pda are communicating fine if possible try a different cable to connect them, then if still have the same problem, best way is to use a different computer to sync your pda...

Hope that helps..........

I can not sync

HI,
The first thing you need to do is to reinstall the palm desktop software to make sure you have the most up to date version. After you do that try doing a hard reset. You want to make sure you have everything backed up from your PDA to your desktop because when you do the hard reset it is going to erase everything on the PDA and restore to just like it was brand new. You will have to reset the time and city and calibrate the screen by tapping the little targets.

To do the hard reset follow these instructions:

1. Hold down the power button and then depress the small hole in the back with the tip of your stylus2.gif.

2. Continue to hold them both in until you see the Palm logo.

3. Let go of both of them and then follow the onscreen directions. You will want to answer yes and use the 5 way navigation button on the bottom of your pda and hit up so that is completes the reset. After that you will have to set up your touch screen2.gif and go through the tapping the target. After you have gone through all this then do a hotsync. It should clear up your problem. Best wishes.

Connection problem

Try doing a hot sync first. Here are the steps:
Hold down the power button and then depress the small hole in the back with the tip of your stylus. Continue to hold them both in until you see the Palm logo. Let go of both of them and then follow the onscreen directions. You will want to answer yes and use the 5 way navigation button on the bottom of your pda and hit up so that is completes the reset. After that you will have to set up your touch screen and go through the tapping the target. After you have gone through all this then do a hotsync. It should clear up your problem. Best wishes.

HotSync problem:connection could not be

After you change the battery you need to do a hard reset. This will erase all the info in your pda so you want to make sure you have it all backed up on the palm desktop To do a hard reset follow these steps:

1. Hold down the power button.
2 While holding down the power button, use the tip of the stylus and inset it into the hole in the back of your pda and gently press and release the reset button in the back of your pda.
3. When you see the message that warns you about erasing all of the info on your hand held select continue.
4. When prompted follow the online directions to align the screen. After that you will want to do another hot sync. Best wishes.

PC/PDA "connected" yet PC won't read PDA

try syncing through bluetooth, there could be a problem with the cradle. i have had an issue very similar to yours and had to do a soft reset on my pda. then set up your device to use a blue tooth connection( you may need to buy a bluetooth dongle for your pc).

No response to sylus taps

Hi Try This Squeezing the Axim gently in normal holding position Placing the Axim in the sync cradle (I have no clue why this works) Doing a soft reset Shutting it off and leaving it alone. Then Re-Starting it. The Axim, despite its size and weight, is not as rigid as it should be. If the case flexes far (or often?) enough, you'll get the "not responding to taps" issue. If you have the problem now, call Support, and get an exchange. Don't worry about getting a refurb. I use lots of refurb equipment, and they are no more or less likely to fail than new equipment. Note that if you continue to flex the refurb's case like your original (I carried mine around in my pants pocket), it will eventually develop the same problem.

Zire 72 Won't Sync Notes

I feel your pain as I'm having even more problems than you, see my post. However, having learned quite a bit about this topic, I suggest ensuring the Hot Sync is set for the desktop to overwrite the PDA as opposed to PDA overwriting the desktop, which sounds like what's happening. That's the only suggestion I have. Hope it works out for you.
