Question about Honeywell HCM525 Humidifier
Humidifier runs and cold dry air comes out. I leave it on all night and the water level in the tank is the same as it was in the morning. Of course, I have misplaced the instruction manual and can not seem to find it online. Any suggestions?
These things have a "sponge" appearing part that is located below the tank. Be sure to totally soak that part in water before trying to use the unit. I had one of these about 3 years ago, and the same thing happened to me. I believe the "sponge", which is really a filter, actually wicks the water into the section of the humidifier that sends water vapor out of the top. You must completely soak it to "Prime" the system, so to speak. That is what worked for me.
