Am 120 hoover. does not spin or slow tumble.the motor is ok and has power to it. I have cleaned the printed circuit brd. connections and checked the water level switch.

How good are you with a screwdriver and a multimeter Sarah?

This says it has overheated and gone into protective state, but you say it is blowing cold?

Check all the thermal fuses, there are normally 3, and check for continuity in the heater element.

plz recheck you connection and clean the connecting points otherwise you have to call a service person for the servicing

Check main cable connections and power from main circuit. Possible one leg is open because of circuit breaker defective, open circuit from breaker through connection on the back of the drier. Sometimes the connector internal at the power connection will fail (see second image).

Check Thermo-fuse. If this thermo-fuse fails it will need to be replaced. (see first image).

If only one leg that supplies 120 volts is powered then motor and controls can operate. the heater elements are the part of the dryer that requires the other leg for the 240.

i would check the motor carbons it could be your problem if it fills goes through the programme until the end but has motor action

Problem sorted, motor is brushless and tested ok. Traced problem to statup capacitor, no circuit across terminals, will be relatively cheap fix
