Question about Philips Magnavox 51MP392H Rear Projection Television
Watching this tv and all of a sudden it went off. There is no picture or no sound. We have checked all the fuses and they are all good. Please help us with diagnosing the probable cause and what we need to fix it. Thank you for your assistance.
Something is preventing the power supply from operating:
Possible causes in order of likelihood:
1) Convergence amps failed overloading the supply (See if you can disconnect them)
2) High Voltage circuit has died. (Most common death mode)
3) One of the CRTs has shorted
4) The power supply itself has died (Is there a lot of dust covering it?)
See if you can isolate the failure by working down the list.
