I have a iPod shuffle 2nd gen. But haven't used for a long time. Now its not switching on. What to do?? :(

Batteries--especially rechargeable ones--do not hold their charge forever. The batteries power naturally drains, even if you don't use them. Just recharge your ipod, and it should work fine.

Why does my iPod not hold s charge?

Hello,

was it holding charge before now? If yes, then it means the battery of the ipod is defective. The battery cell is weak such that it cannot hold charge any longer.

The battery for your ipod needs to be replaced.

I hope the above is clear.

Regards.

My ipod nano 4gb blue doesn't hold a charge. It's

If you left it sitting in the box "for a few years"...then that's why.
The battery has to be used to stimulate the "memory" of the battery. If it was charged once and never used again, then of course it is going to have a battery issue.

I have an apple ipod 80 GB black. the problem is with the battery charge indicator.it is showing that it is full charge when it is not.help me out of this problem.

Try resetting your ipod:
  1. Push the hold switch to hold and then set it back to unlock.
  2. Press the Menu and Select buttons same time and hold for at least 6 to 15 seconds.
  3. Release the buttons when Apple logo shows.
If this does not work you might have a faulty battery and the only way to fix that is so buy a new ipod

Battery icon won't show when charging...

Have you already reset the iPod? If not I would try that first. It may be that your battery is shot though. It's not a relatively expensive repair though.

To reset the iPod Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step. Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.

If that does not start the iPod to charging you can go to (www.rapidrepair.com) and view free repair guides that show you how to replace the battery as well as how much it will cost to replace. Good luck. Hopefully the reset resolves your issue and you will not need a new battery. Let me know how it turns out

Hold down on the center button while hold down on the menu button. The apple logo will appear. Your Ipod is now rebooted.

Is the new battery fully charged? Usually it takes 6 hours on a new battery.
